Back in the saddle to battle breast cancer

It’s been  awhile and I’m a bit rusty, but I’m about to hop on  my bike for the Tour de Pink, an organized bike ride to raise awareness of and funds to beat breast cancer and support those who are affected by it.

Every spring I think I’m going to take the 100-mile option in the Tour de Pink in the fall and every year my route gets shorter. Training over the summer months in Houston is just too hot and, with little kids not in school unitl August, training is even more difficult. But enough excuses…

If you are here today (Sunday) and see this post, would you please say a prayer for all of those suffering the effects breast cancer, all of those who have conquered breast cancer and little ole me whose body may or may not be ready for a 63-mile ride today? We could all use your prayers!

Please pray that I can clear my mind and really listen to God today as I ride. I have a lot of questions I have been asking and I hope He has a lot to share with  me today. I love that I will have several hours to just pedal and pray and listen… and enjoy the countryside.

Thanks, y’all, for any prayers you can send up for me and those for whom this ride is intended.

Breast cancer has got to go… but you already knew that.
