Bible in 90 Days Day 48 SOAP: Enjoy life!

Today’s Reading: Ecclesiastes 3:1- Song of Songs 8:14

Scripture: Ecclesiastes 5:18

Then I realized that it is good and proper for a man to eat and drink, and to find satisfaction in his toilsome labor under the sun during the few days of life God has given him– for this is his lot.

Observation:

It is okay for a man to find enjoyment in life.

Application:

I have not enjoyed every job or duty in my life. But I have tried to find the positive in each and for many have prayed to ask God to show me the joy where I didn’t find much (or any). And you know what? In most cases He did… maybe not right away. But He has shown me joy and silver linings where I have asked to find joy and silver linings. I believe this scripture is showng me that yes, He wants us to enjoy life. If you fear Him and are honoring Him in your actions, then don’t be ashamed to enjoy life and your blessings at the same time.

Prayer:

Lord, you have blessed me much more than I ever will deserve or will ever understand.

I often wonder why you picked me to have so many wonderful freinds, loving family, and incredible expereinces. Thank you, Lord for making it so easy to enjoy life! No, everything hasn’t been perfect and I’ve suffered a few bumps and bruises along the way… but the gifts you have given me far outweigh any of those.

Thank you, Lord for the joy. Thank you for the opportunity to serve you. And thank you for reminding me that it is okay to enjoy the wonderful life you have given me.

  1. Hi again, I really got behind this week with starting homeschooling Monday. My plan is to download my Bible Cds and listen while I make dinner to catch up. I love my readings – it has been quite a week. I am looking forward to catching up. I know that I can do it – I am determined. It is soooo worth it! Thank you for the challenge and encouragement! :)
