Bible in 90 Days: Getting frustrated yet?

This is a re-post from last January….

Yesterday, as I took my children to school, I noticed one of my friends quickening her step as I approached.

“How’s your reading coming along?” I asked.

“Not well. I was good for a two days, but it is just too hard with work and…” her voice trailed off as she cruised down the hall.

“Uh-oh.” I thought to myself. “Am I now one of those people that the sight of brings guilt feelings? Yikes!”

And then I thought about how frustrated she must feel. And then I thought of all of you in blogland that I don’t see at school or in the grocery store or, well, anywhere except here.

  1. I’m not getting frustrated because I feel empowered by the accountability not aggravated by it. I have had some challenges–like trying to figure out my weekend reading schedule which is slightly different from weekdays–but it’s all worked out.

  2. I am a day behind, which I am not frustrated about it. My hubby had arthroscopic surgery this week, it was only an out patient surgery, but I have been watching over him like a hawk! LOL! He is hard to keep still.
I did hit the panic button briefly when I realized I got a day behind, but I prayed about it, and I felt so much calmer and clearer afterwards. God bless you all, and I will be praying for all groups!

  3. Well I’m pleased o report all is well with the reading schedule here. I am reading the KJV so it’s double the reading schedule which means I do it morning and night to keep up.
I have a question though off topic. Why do you say you cycle your guts out for MS? As its in your little intro it must be important to you.

    1. Reading with the KJV is an extra challenge!! Keep to it, though! :)

Thanks for asking about the MS rides.
At first, it was just a personal challenge that I thought could be a help for others. As I’ve learned more, though, it’s grown into more than just that. I ride because I can and I can help. And others can’t. MS must be devastating. I want it to end.

There’s a bit more about that here: http://www.momstoolbox.com/blog/2010/04/14/may-i-ride-for-you/

My husband and I walk and support plenty of other groups in different ways, too. We cycle for a few others, too.
This is definitely not the only organization dear to us, but it is one of them.

      Thanks for asking.
