Bible in 90 Days: How will you celebrate your finish?

As more and more of you report in that you are finishing your reading of the ENTIRE Bible, I have a question for you:

How will you celebrate your victory  and remember this challenge?

I would bet every one of you will smile and cry (or at least come very close) and scream, if only in your heart, a huge “THANK YOU!!” to God… and maybe also to those who helped cheer you on or carry some of your load so you could have extra reading time.

When I finished for the first time, I bought myself a Bible charm for my bracelet and cried in the store. You can read more about that and see a picture of my bracelet here.

Now I wear my Finisher T-shirt and love to talk about my experience with people who ask when I am wearing it. And I still smile a huge smile nearly 8 years later every time I put that bracelet on my wrist!

What about you? How will you celebrate?

Will you cook (or go out for) a special meal? Will you write yourself a special note and stick it on your mirror? Will you buy yourself your own shiny new charm?

What will you do to celebrate this incredible accomplishment? This is definitely an accomplishment worth celebrating!

  1. Back in February I had added 6 books to my cart in Amazon that I wanted to read, but my husband said I should wait on them since all of my reading time was consumed with my Bible reading. I celebrated by finally ordering these new books! :)

  2. Well, I really didn’t think about celebrating either! I finished yesterday, and when I announced it to my family, they all clapped! :)
I began in in depth study of the book of James today. I plan to study James and maybe another book and/or topic for the next three months. Then I plan do B90 again beginning in July.

    Thanks for this support group.

  3. I finished! Yahoo! This is so wonderful. I never thought I would ever make it through the entire Bible. I’ve tried and tried to do it and failed each time. I think part of it was the lack of accountability, the slow nature of the yearly plans, etc., etc. Thank you for setting this up, to have accountability, to have structure and to have people praying for us.

    1. As a reward, my hubby just bought me the Wisdom Willowtree figurine. I <3 him!

I just finished tonight!!! PRAISE THE LORD! It’s been a BLESSED 87 days and I’m so happy to say that I have finally read the Bible all the way through!

I, honestly, hadn’t even thought about celebrating. I guess it’s gone by so fast and I can hardly believe I’ve truly done it….I am just satisfied knowing I have read each and every word of God’s Word. It did feel nice to have my husband tell me “Congrats!” though after I read the last page. :)

I hadn’t thought about celebrating either. Love the “Grace” necklace idea and going out to dinner! Hmmm, this may be costing my husband some money…:)

Seriously though, I will be finishing up tomorrow and this has been such a great experience all around. Thank you for hosting! And I’m thankful for my friend posting on Facebook or I never would have known about it.

  6. I hadn’t really thought about a celebration. For me, reading the Bible all the way through was enough but I did put myself on the list to get a tee shirt!

  7. Well, I guess my reward is kind of the necklace that I just bought that says “only by grace” and was inspired by 1000 Gifts, but also applies to this too! I’m so thankful that the Lord empowered me and gave me the time and energy to make it all the way through! :)

  8. I think I’ll celebrate by giving myself an extra hr sleep for a few nights :). I’m so proud of my 87 yr old granny who read the Bible all the way through for the first time EVER during this 90 day challenge. Thanks for hosting, Amy! It’s changing lives.

    1. That is AMAZING ( about your grandma)!!! What an inspiration!

  9. I haven’t really thought about celebrating. The reward is in the finish for me! (Though I think a Bible charm would be a great addition to my charm bracelet this year–good idea!)
