Bible in 90 Days: Let’s pray for our lost readers

This morning I was reminded of the parables of the lost sheep, the lost coin and the lost son in Luke 15. Our lost readers of the Bible in 90 days came to mind.

More than 1020 readers signed up to read with our community and most of them actually are reading with us and reporting on their progress.

Unfortunately there are some who signed up to read who have not contacted us back either by checking in, commenting or responding back to their mentors.

Yes, many sign up and read on their own and we never hear back from them. Many, however, sign up and then become overwhelmed by the challenge.

Please join me in prayer today for those who intended to read, but have not begun, or began and have already given up. It is my prayer that they will either reconnect with us and read with us or that they find an in-person group which follows the Bible in 90 Days ministry curriculum to read the entire Bible through.

Reading the entire Bible is an incredible challenge and an amazing victory. Reading it in 90 days helps you to not lose sight of the goal of finishing and helps you to see how truly connected everything in the Bible really is. Once anyone does this there is no doubt their life is changed.

Let’s go get those who have lost their way in reading with us. Let’s lift them up to the Lord and ask His guidance for each of them.

If you are one of those who has stopped reading or didn’t start, please tell us about it here so we can pray specifically for you. There is no judgement here, just love and support. Everyone’s circumstances are different.

For those of you who are willing to share (whether you are reading with us or not) please share a prayer below for readers who have wandered, or just leave a simple comment letting us know you are praying for our lost readers.

Thanks for being a part of our MomsToolbox community.

  1. The prayers made a difference for me! I was a couple of days behind and feeling very discouraged and flirting with quitting. My attitude changed, I got caught up and neither was of my own doing! Thanks so much!

Praying for the lost with you.

  2. I am 3 days behind…the weekends kill me. BUT, I am determined to catch up. I’ve been blessed by the reading so far and learning so much. Thanks for the prayers. :)

  3. Father God, I come alongside my brothers and sisters in Christ to lift up each one of our Bible in 90 Days readers that is struggling right now. We don’t know the reasons each of them is struggling, but we pray that you come alongside them in whatever battle they face and lift them up. Encourage them, dear God. Help them to feel no pressure or guilt for being behind in reading. Help them to remember that the Bible in 90 days plan is just that: a plan. You are the Savior and
More of you is what each of us desperately needs. Help us to spend the time with you and your word that you have for us each day. Help us to walk in grace and live. Help us to look more like you through this whole process, because we do not want more head knowledge. We want more of you and to be made into your image. More of you, oh God, that is our prayer.

  4. I am praying for everyone…those that have stopped/never started their reading, those that are falling behind, and those that are staying caught up by the grace of God. It does take discipline but the reward is huge! I am enjoying this so much!! :)
I was one of those last time that began but did not continue. I am praying that all of those like me find their way back, now or in the future!! God bless you all!!!

  5. Praying for those who are struggling or falling behind. I fell behind for a couple of days and was tempted to lay it aside. I have been caught up for a couple of days and I am so GLAD I didn’t quit. The enemy wants us to busy, defeated, distracted and discouraged! Don’t let him win. When I was struggling, I just broke it up in segments. Having it on my phone has been a great help. I love having it available everywhere. Waiting on kids, waiting and reading, taking it to my closet, my chair, in bed with the lights off is easier with the iPhone ap. It also keeps it on my mind more. I don’t want to just check the box in my walk, in my reading…praying for Jesus to capture our hearts, draw us out of complacency and grow us! AMEN.

  6. I will be praying. I am willing myself not to get discouraged even when I fall asleep during reading. It is a discipline I really need in my life.

  7. Praying those that have joined the program. I’m behind and will still be behind at the end of this week but I have read daily and I have gone out to serve in our community that has gone under in this natural disaster here in Queensland. The Lord knows the intentions of my heart and will still bless me & my family. So if you are behind don’t be discourage we are all cheering you on. I am cheering you on from the back anyway.

  8. Praying for all. Thank you for reminding us to pray for our Sisters – this is a challenge but a glorious one.

  9. Sent up a prayer. :)

  10. I’ve definitely been praying and will continue to do so. This IS a challenge, but a great one. I pray that all those who may have lost their way will be gently led by the Holy Spirit to get back on board or will reach out so that we can encourage them to move forward! Much love to you all! God can do this through us!

  11. I know for some it has been tough, the crazy winter weather is making everyone sick! ( I’ve been sick twice since I started reading). It hasn’t been easy but I have pressed on. I pray today for those that have given up or are very far behind to keep trying, just like in the stories of the lost, God is willing to go back and get you!

    1. Sorry forgot my website.

  12. I’m committed to praying!

  13. Wonderful suggestion! And I just want to add a note to those who may read this but not post a comment because you are embarrassed or ashamed to admit that you have fallen behind…YOU ARE LOVED BY GOD!

This is a very challenging reading schedule for anyone to keep up with. But if you’ve fallen behind, it isn’t too late to catch up. Lock yourself in the bathroom, hire a sitter for a couple of hours…do whatever you need to do to MAKE time TODAY for the Word. You are worth it, and your relationship with God will grow because of it.

Jesus, I ask that You would encourage those who have fallen short. You see and know their hearts, Lord. You know the desire they have to be closer to You. Help them find moments of time throughout their day to spend time in the Word. Most of all, please let them feel Your arms of love around them in a big hug. Thank You for Your unfailing love! Amen!

  14. Praying right now!

  15. I will add my prayers. I also wanted to say that the You Version Bible app has been mentioned several times on Twitter and I agree, it has really helped me. I find I read faster with the app (I made the font larger) and I don’t have the rest of the book in my hand to overwhelm me.

    Just my 2 cents

  16. What a wonderful idea—thanks for sharing this opportunity. I had a few rough spots, but I hung in there and am back on schedule. Thanks for the prayers, and now I am praying for others.

  17. Praying, and thanking all of you who have prayed and are praying for me. I fell behind but I haven’t given up.

  18. Father God,
I lift up everyone who reads your word. Whether they are reading with the B90 program or whether they are reading alone, I pray that anyone who reads your word draws closer to you. Those that are reading with this group I pray will conintue reading, that they will see why each and every word was written and why it is important to read them all. Father I pray that they will keep focused on you throughout each day and remember why they wanted to join in this challenge. Guide them, strengthen them, help them to meet the goals they set for themselves. In your holy name, Amen.

  19. Praying for all of you….yes at first it was tough….then it became something I looked forward to and actually ended up fnishing about a week early….and it WAS like changing. It’s an amazing experience so stick with it and receive the blessing that is waiting for you in your perserverence. Remember….you committed…Jesus committed….we are to be like Him! I pray you will finish and be filled with joy!!
