On with today’s idea…

Help build an 8-foot pirate entirely out of Legos

Houston’s LEGO store is hosting a master builder event in the Grand Court of Baybrook Mall, June 12 -14, and kids can help take part in building a larger-than-life LEGO pirate.

The building will take place this Friday from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sunday Noon – 6 p.m.

Can’t make the event? The pirate will remain on display for one week.

Plus, mark your calendar for many more LEGO events the rest of the summer and year-round.

The first Tuesday of the month, from 5 – 7 p.m. (or while supplies last) children ages 6 and older are invited to build and keep their own mini model. Each month has a different model and theme and the event is FREE.

While you are there, of course you can purchase all sorts of Lego kits, but you can also fill a cup of loose bricks from a wall of specialty Legos. It took my guys awhile to fill their cups… I think they were overwhelmed by all the choices.
