Blast away Boredom with a Scrapbook Party

Check back every Monday through Thursday for ideas to have more fun all summer long.

Need more ideas? Try this one to get you set for anytime boredom sets in…

On with today’s idea…

Kids Scrapbook Party

Gather some favorite vacation pictures and a few friends and host a scrapbook party to create some memory books.

First make your guest list, then decide if you want to go the archival route or just a simple craft route. Wehosted a kids crop a few years back and my Creative Memories consultant put together kits parents could purchase. She offered her advice for everyone, though— Creative Memories customer or not.

To make the cropping time more productive and easier, gather supplies in advance and minimize the options… only offer a few color choices for backgrounds, pre cut the shapes your child might use and pre-select the photos before the big crop.

Then, on cropping day, remember that this is your child’s memory book and let her decorate, stick and write however she likes.

  1. I have lots of scrapbooking supplies but have no pictures printed out since 2003. How sad is that? Yep, since I got my digital camera, I haven’t printed any out except for ones that will go in the Christmas cards.

    Sigh.

However, I do want to start scrapbooking and that is motivation for me to get those pics printed out.
