Blogging Through the Gospels: Jesus did much more than we even know

The reading for Saturday is John Chapter 21 .

Here is what I heard:

Scripture:

John 21:25

Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.

Observation:

Jesus did much more that has ever been documented, and it is likely that it all could not even be documented.

Application:

Jesus performed a lot of amazing miracles… and the Trinity continues to perform miracles and do amazing things every single day.

There is no way I could understand or even hear of all of them, but I can appreciate and thank Him for the ones that impact me directly.

Prayer:

Lord, thank you for showing us so  many of Jesus’ doings so we would understand that He is your son, sent to die for our sins and overcome death. Thank you for the countless number of miracles and actions that point directly to you.

Strengthen those who are facing heartache, praying and wishing for  miracles they do not see and instead are confused and hurt by what they do see. Guide those burdened by grief and hurt. Comfort them. Help them to see you, feel you and truly experience you even in their pain.

**Dear readers, I realize that today my prayer doesn’t quite just stick to the rest of my SOAP. But my heart is heavy for others in my life experiencing pain and grief and I am feeling compelled to include it all.

What about you? What did you see and hear in your reading?

Be sure to record your own SOAP observations and feel free share your own thoughts or a link to your thoughts, here, too.

I chose the same verse that you did!

Where does the time go? I am like Meredith–can’t believe the Blogging through the Gospels is over! Thank you, Amy, for everything! And I will still be here with you–Bible in 90 Days is next! :)

I can’t believe that this is the last chapter of the Gospels!!
I am so sad to leave this precious time of hearing from my God and Savior behind. I am looking forward to the next challenge (B90Days!!), and hoping desperately that I will be able to blog through the Epistles at least semi – regularly. :)

    Amy,
    Thank you so very much.
My life has been changed, my relationship with the Lord has grown so much.
