Blogging Through the Gospels: You either accept or reject, it’s that simple

The reading for Tuesday is John Chapter 3.

Here is what I heard:

Scripture:

John 3:36

Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on him.

Observation:

We are sinners and God’s wrath is on us, unless we believe in Christ’s power and love and accept His gift of eternal life.

Once you hear of Him, either you believe or reject. It is that simple.

Application:

I believe. I accept.

I want others to truly do the same.

Once I kind of believed. I kind of accepted and I wanted to jump in completely but I just couldn’t. Something was holding me back.

That was not believing, though. It was not accepting. It was waffling and, to be honest, it was rejecting.

And then I read the Bible in 90 Days and I heard God answering many of my questions, showing me new things and reassuring me that not all of my question needed answers. It moved me from waffling to full belief and a passion for Him.

If you are in that gray area between believing and not believing, and you have a few questions, then what are you waiting for? Get those questions answered and see what you really think and move on with your spiritual life.

Sign up will begin soon for our next session of the Bible in 90 Days which begins July 11.

It’s just 3 months. It’s just about an hour a day… and it could change your life. What are you afraid of?

Prayer:

Lord, thank you for not giving up on me. Thank you for courting me and courting me and calling me to you.  Thank you for Ted Cooper’s Bible in 90 Days ministry which you used to really grab me, shake me up and see so much more.

Please, Lord, help more people to realize just what you say here in John 3:36. Either you accept Christ or you don’t. And if you don’t, you feel wrath which we all deserve. If you do, you escape that and instead feel Your love.

Guide those who are waffling and wondering to come closer to you. If the Bible in 90 Days is the right answer for them, help me and our team to guide them to read with us and see your Word for the truth it really is.

Thank you, Lord, for your Bible. Thank you for your forgiveness. Thank you for your Son.

  1. John 3 is a spiritual treasure trove! What an awesome chapter. Today, I was really impressed with John the Baptists’ response, among other things…
