Cycling prayer request

Sunday morning I’m off for a 47-mile bike ride. With a few hills. It’s a training ride for a much bigger ride coming my way.

In just under 6 weeks I will be riding in my fourth BP MS 150, a 2-day 180-mile bicycle ride to raise awareness of and funds to battle Multiple Sclerosis. In the past I have been pretty diligent about my training. This year, due to all sorts of circumstances, mixed in with a few excuses, I’m a bit behind in my preparation.

Tomorrow we’ll see just how far behind I am, as I’ll be gearing up for a 47-mile ride. And did I mention the hills?

If you see this, will you please pray for me?

I’m going to  need some strength to push and pull those peddles. And I covet your prayers for a safe ride, too… for me and all of the cyclists.

And if I could be so bold, I would also love prayers that I hear the Lord speaking to me tomorrow as I ride. I have a lot on mind. As I pedal, pedal, pedal along the country roads, I love presenting my questions and thoughts to Him and listening for his answers, all while being amazed at the beauty I always see around me when I cycle and being so thankful that I have a body which can cycle.

Thank you for your prayers.

Also, please feel free to leave your own requests here. If I see them before I ride, I’ll pray for you as I ride. If not, I’ll pray later in the day.

Thank you.

  1. I’ll be praying, Amy!! If it comes to mind, could you pray for health for our family today? My team is leading worship this morning and I feel pretty yucky (cold/flu…achy, sniffly, etc), and my two youngest also have it (I’m up with the baby right now). We all have to be up early to be at church for practice…can’t leave the sickies at home with daddy when he’s the pastor! ;) Making it through a busy morning almost seems impossible right now, but I know with God all things are possible!

    Pedal, pedal, pedal!! :)

    1. Just saw your note, Dawn, and I will definitely be in prayer for you! :)
