Last night I attended my first Christmas party of 2014.
It was my husband’s office party and I can honestly say we had a great time. I absolutely enjoyed getting to visit with his coworkers I already knew and also meet some new people he works with, too. Of course I LOVED finally meeting his office manager– because he is a fellow GATOR! WOO-Hoo. :)
To me the best part about Christmas parties is the conversation. I love sharing stories and listening to stories. And I love that everyone at the party is there to visit and not rushing off to someplace else.
With all that in mind, let’s move to your Advent activity for today/ tonight. I hope you’ll be able to do it and enjoy those conversations and smiles without rushing…
Host an informal friends and/or family Christmas movie night tonight (or put it on your calendar for a different night and follow through). Pop popcorn, make hot cocoa or wassail and enjoy it together. The trick is to keep it simple, putting the focus on the friends and family there, not the decorations and food. Just enjoy each other!
