Daily Devotion: Esther Reflection Questions

esther-bible-study

We’ve spent a little time reading Esther together this month, reading a chapter a day and then taking few days for reflection.

Before we move on to our next book of the Bible, let’s take two more days to reflect just a bit more. I’ve prepared a few questions to help you think about what you’ve read and how you might be able to apply it to your own life. Although it is a bit different than the traditional way we use SOAP here on MomsToolbox, our reflections will still mirror the method loosely.

Esther Reflection Questions

Scripture:

What scriptures in each chapter stood out to you?

Where there any specific lines that surprised you especially?

Did you notice that he word “God” was never used in Esther?

Observation:

Although the word “God” was not used, do you think He was present in this story?

What do you think about Esther’s actions?

What do you think about Esther’s methods for determining actions?

Did anything Esther do particularly surprise you? What?

Application:

Is there anything you can take from Esther’s story and apply to your own life?

Is there anything from any of the others mentioned in the story that you can take and apply to your own life?

Prayer:

After reading and reflecting, what can you ask God’s guidance in concerning your own life?

Next Steps:

Monday I’ll  share what our next reading/ devotional will be. (You might notice a theme when I announce it. :) )

Thanks so much for reading with me!
