Flirty Mango Shave Cream

This summer I got a little crazy in the shaving cream aisle and broke out of my norm. I decided to buy Skintimate Flirty Mango shave cream instead of just grabbing the cheapest shaving cream, which is usually a shaving cream for men.

And, so you can appreciate how monumental this is, for many, many years I shaved only with soap, until I realized I could do this shaving cream trick with it to allow me more time in the shower. From then I got crazy and started to see what I had been missing out on all those years.

Then, this summer I decided to branch out and splurge for my 40th birthday in part with some new shaving cream. (I know– I’m really wild.) And I am so glad I did.

I cannot remember the price difference between the Skintimate Flirty Mango and the cheapest men’s shave cream I was typically buying, but I can tell you that this one really does make me smile every single time I shave. And considering how many times uses there are in a can, even a few dollars would be worth it to me. (It had to be less than a few dollars or I wouldn’t have done it.)

So why do I like it?

The fragrance is so fresh and fruity, I almost feel spa-like… okay, maybe not spa-like, but definitely vacation-like. It really does smell great… and the yummy smell makes me happy in the shower. But the fragrance is not over-powering and it doesn’t make me sneeze like a lot of fragrances do. So, to me, it is totally worth it.

My legs are pretty smooth, too, but, to be honest, I slather on moisturizer every time I shower, so I don’t know if it is the shave cream or my moisturizer.

So, since this is my first shaving cream splurge, I’m wondering… Are other shave creams out there as yummy-smelling as this one? If you use a shave cream you love, tell me all about it… And does anyone else out there love this shave cream like I do?

Scented shaving cream is the only scented product I can handle so I always go for raspberry or mango or something yummy sounding. Skintimate is all I buy because its design seems to be able to take the bumps and drops that seem to always happen with a slippery can. I’ve thrown out more cans of the “cheap” brands because the nozzle has quit working; I finally just stopped wasting my money. There are several things I will only buy name brands: Skintimate shaving cream, Always/ Tampax feminine products, and Kraft Mac & Cheese :)
