Get ready to celebrate!

Tonight during the Bible in 90 Days Tweet-Up I mentioned that I bought myself a Bible charm for my bracelet when I finished reading the Bible for the first time. (Did ya notice I didn’t say ‘in 90 days’ there? I finished in 97 days my first time.)

Conversation quickly turned to talk of finisher T-shirts and we all got excited.

I have been talking with my husband about sending a small gift from me to those who finish within a reasonable period of time.  My husband suggested some sort of copy of a dance mix of Pomp and Circumstance with praise music mixed in. (I laughed and said “No, really”… and we kept brainstorming.)

So now I’m wondering… Who is really still in this? I know more of you are reading than check in. All along I would have loved to have an accurate count of who is in and who has stopped and who is really intending to catch up or come close.

So now I’m asking for real… Are you in? Or are you out?

I want to thank you personally for trusting me in this challenge and congratulate you on your victory. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE use the weeekly check-ins to let me know where you are and who your are.  You can still check in for this week until Friday. All it takes is a comment and/ or a linked post.  And there will be another check in next Monday. And we’ll have a final check in next Wednesday that I’ll leave open for a bit for those who finish late.

If you don’t check in I cannot contact you. Icannot know about you and I cannot thank you and congratulate you. And I certainly can’t contact you to send you a gift.

So, please, check in and encourage others to do the same. I just might need to know how many T-shirts to order….

I will finish on time. I have been a “lurker” as I had tried to sign up way back but never could get it right. Anyhow, I have been behind at times and then caught up again. I should finish on time as I have been doubling up this week. I will start 1 Thess. tomorrow and read 24 pages. Thank you so much for doing this. I never would have known about this if I hadn’t read about you on another blog. I considered finishing at my own pace but decided that I was indeed determined to do this on time. My husband was a real “doubting Thomas” until I hit the New Testament and because he has been checking in on my progress I have been especially determined not to stray from the course!

  2. I’m behind, but still reading! Hope to be caught up by Sunday! :)

  3. I’m still in! I’m actually hoping to be able to read ahead over the next couple of days to try to finish early. My hubby and I are taking a much needed night away Sat. and I’d love to be done before that. We’ll see how the next couple of days go, though. Thanks for your encouragement.

  5. I am in and right on target. Today I finished Day 82. Can hardly believe that I am about to finish reading the Bible for the first time. I don’t check in much or Tweet, so you may not know about me.

  6. I haven’t been very good at checking in, and I missed the Tweet up this week, but I’m still in. I’m a few days behind, but plan to get caught up this week. I think I can, I think I can!

Thank you for all of the encouragement. With out you I would have never been able to keep going. I still can’t believe we are almost finished!

  8. I can’t believe the end is near. When I first heard of this I was finishing up my first one year read thru and couldn’t imagine it being done in only 90 days, but it can. It has definately been a challenge, and I haven’t had time to read anything else but it has been more than worth it and look forward to doing it again. My hubby has been doing this with me but he’s gotten about 2 weeks behind with work and being gone on a mission trip.

  9. I am SO in!! Everyday that I get closer to the finish line I get more and MORE excited!! This will be my first complete read through the Bible ever. And I have had quite a few failed attempts… I am one day behind at this point, but should catch up today. I just can NOT believe I am a week away from reading the entire Bible. Can you tell I’m excited?? I have posted a few updates throughout my reading time on my blog as well.

I am 1/2 day behind and will catch up on my reading today. The end is in sight and I can not really believe that I have done this!

  11. I am almost done… a few days behind due to March Madness at our house but I may catch up today or tomorrow during nap time!!

  12. Wow. Few weeks ago, I decided to have t-shirts also to promote Bible in 90 days. I’m actually canvassing the cost of printing + tshirt now. And I plan to send an email this week to B90 days org to ask their permission.

Pls send me the design so I can have same shirt also.

  13. We are moving in 3 days, but I did sit down this evening and read the book of Acts. I am a few days behind, but I aim to finish, even if a few days late. Thanks!

  14. Hi, Amy – I haven’t been doing the Bible in 90 days per se (although I was so torn about doing for about 2 weeks in December!) but thanks to you hosting this, a friend and I have been reading through cover to cover (at a much slower pace!), about 25 chapters a week. Anyway, I’m not doing this specific program, but it has been a huge blessing to have a chunk of the Word in my life each week and it was your challenge that really got me thinking about it :) So we’re still plodding away in 2 Samuel, but slow and steady…I think we’ll get there sometime this fall! So thanks again!
