You’re doing great! I’m praying for you! :)

  • Keri Schreiner

I just finished ezekiel. I am on Spring break this week and my kids are in school, hubby is away for work, so I am spending LOTS of time reading. I really really wanna get caught up cause I wanna finish with everyone else. So I will read some more after the kids go to bed. Only a few more books left of the old testament and then on to the new. I hope it goes fast/easier then the old.

    • http://www.cassandraland.com Cassandra

Keri, what great timing for spring break! You should have plenty of time to catch up and finish on time. I am praying for you that nothing will happen in your life to interrupt the time you need to read, that God will help clear your schedule to spend time with Him. :)

      You can do this!

      • Keri Schreiner

I am super excited to say that I am caught up to a normal level now and will finish on time. I literally spent several days this past week doing nothing but reading all day long. I started in Ezekial and am in the Middle of Luke (as of last night). I should be able to plug 2 days worth of reading from now till the end and finish with everyone! I must say that God has blessed me greatly this pasted week and I am thankful for the time that I got to devote just to his book.

        • http://www.cassandraland.com Cassandra

Oh, Keri, I am so excited for you!!! I’m so glad that you had all this time available to spend in God’s word. Great job!! You’re almost there!

  • Serena

I’m about where I usually am… a few days behind! But, I’m making it! :)

    • http://www.cassandraland.com Cassandra

Serena, you’re doing great! Keep up the good work! :)

  • http://aqueeninhercastle.blogspot.com/ Lady Rose

I just started reading the book of Acts last night. The “end” is near, and it can’t come too soon for me.

You’re doing great! Keep up the good work!

  • Serena

I’m still behind… but doing pretty well! :)
Keep going ladies, we can do this!

    • http://www.cassandraland.com Cassandra

Serena, keep up the great work!

  • Keri Schreiner

I spent a good chunk of time reading yesterday, I am up to jeramiah. So about 18 days behind. =( However, I hope to get caught up. I deleted facebook which sucked a ton of my time away. It is spring break for us this week and I am watching two other kids, so finding the quiet time might be difficult, but I’m gonna try.

    • http://www.cassandraland.com Cassandra

Keri, I’ll be praying for you this week as you try to find time to read. Was it hard to delete Facebook? I still have mine but don’t use it much. Good luck with your reading!

      ~Cassandra

  • Esther

Still reading lost track of how far behind I am but still plodding and blogging.

    • http://www.cassandraland.com Cassandra

Esther, I’m glad to hear you’re still reading. Keep up the great work! Praying for you. :)

  • Serena

I am still behind, and definitely struggling to catch up….

    • http://www.cassandraland.com Cassandra

But you’re still reading and that is fantastic! Keep it up! I’m praying for you. :)

  • http://www.homeschoolingdisneystyle.com Becky

Please keep my husband in your prayers. He is currently on a job interview a long ways from home. Please pray for the Lord’s guidance for my husband and also for the company interviewing him. This is a 2-day interview.

  • Serena

Well, even with a broken (now fixed) fridge, and a car accident/broken (never to be fixed) car, I managed to get caught up. I am pretty excited about that!! I think this week will be a struggle to STAY caught up, but I plan on devoting time Sunday to catching up if I struggle this week.
Thankfully, the most of my worries right now is getting a new car–not injuries, or hospital bills from the accident!! No one was hurt, which I am SOOOO thankful for!!

    • http://www.homeschoolingdisneystyle.com Becky

The Lord sure watched over you! Amazing to have a totaled car and no injuries!

  • http://godschallenge.wordpress.com/ Esther

Still reading, not as much as I would like but still going. I have no idea how far behind I am.

  • Keri Schreiner

I read a great deal over the weekend. Got through all of psalms, proverbs, and ecc. Don’t think I’ll finish with everyone else, but we’ll see.

  • http://aqueeninhercastle.blogspot.com/ Lady Rose

Hello there! Well, things are progressing along quite nicely for the moment. I spent two hours last night reading the last 10 chapters of Ezekiel and all of Daniel. I guess I just felt like doing alot of reading last night. Today, I’ll be starting with Hosea. If I keep staying ahead of the game, I am scheduled to finish this challenge by March 25th!

I’m a bit behind but catching up slowly. DD11 has been really tired and got bogged down in Job. We adjusted her reading to a 180 day plan.

  • http://www.107down.com Alana

I am way behind… been having some health problems and had surgery yesterday. I am trying to get caught up, but the pain meds make staying awake long enough to read kinda hard.
Hope the rest of you are doing well!

    • http://www.cassandraland.com Cassandra

Alana, hang in there! I hope you feel better soon!

    • http://www.homeschoolingdisneystyle.com Becky

Hope you get feeling better soon! Will be praying for you.

  • http://kerisblessings.blogspot.com/ keri Schreiner

I don’t even know how many days behind I am…10 I think. School is really kicking my butt, along with three kids, and a husband. Add to all of that our hot water heater going out, and life! Blah! I need to read, cause my attitude is so much better when I do, but finding the time, just hasn’t happened. Got to figure something out.

    • http://www.cassandraland.com Cassandra

Keri, hang in there! God blesses when we find/set aside time to spend with Him. You can do it! :)

  • http://aqueeninhercastle.blogspot.com/ Lady Rose

I’m still reading, but getting “bogged down” because these prophetic books are difficult to read slowly, but at such a fast pace, it’s like the words are just jumbling together and it’s making ne a little bit nutty!

It’s been difficult to stay motivated with these chapters, and I can’t say that I look forward to my readings now because I just don’t feel like I am getting much out of them, ugh! :(

    -Lady Rose

    • http://www.cassandraland.com Cassandra

Lady Rose, keep plugging along! You’re doing great! Once you get through the Old Testament, the reading should seem easier. I thought the gospels flew by!

  • Serena

I am 2 days behind, but I plan on reading at least an extra 1/2 day per day to get caught up. Keep on going everyone–we can do this!

    • http://www.cassandraland.com Cassandra

You’re doing great, Serena! Keep up the good work!

  • Tabitha

After an entire week of only reading a (very few) minutes a day, I am catching up pretty steadily. Last week I was definitely in a funk and mostly laid on my couch watching t.v. and not cleaning, reading or generally keeping up with life. After a great weekend with my husband and kids, and a Saturday spent doing a week’s worth of cleaning, I feel blessed to have regained my good attitude. I know that it is because I started pouring more of my time into the Word and tuned out the darn t.v.! Thank you, Lord, for using this week to show me how staying in the Word lifts my spirit and gives me strength daily to glorify you by my actions!

    • http://www.cassandraland.com Cassandra

Wow! Thank you so much for sharing what God and His word has done for you. :) I’m so glad you’re feeling better now.

  • http://godschallenge.wordpress.com/ Esther

I am behind still. This week has been insane with so much happening. I haven’t even managed to blog about the bit I have read so the blog makes me look even further behind than I am. Hopefully the madness should reduce after this week for a short while.

    • http://www.cassandraland.com Cassandra

I hope life settles down for you soon! Even though you’re behind, I’m glad you’re still reading. :) Keep pushing toward that goal of finishing!

  • Serena

I am a bit behind right now… and my goal for this week is to stay where I am (a little over a day behind) until this weekend when I can catch up. With a craft show scheduled for Thursday and quite a few purses to finish, can’t see myself catching up without losing too much sleep. :( I’m pretty discouraged that I am behind right now–every other week, even if I fell a few chapters behind, I was caught up by Monday. This weekend, that didn’t happen. Right now, I need to designate enough time to stay where I am, and try not to lose my sanity. :)

    • http://www.cassandraland.com Cassandra

Serena, sounds like a good plan! Good luck with your craft show. That sounds like fun, though a lot of stress to get everything finished up on time!

I hope you’re able to catch up with the reading soon! If you need to, read in spurts as you find 10 minutes here and there. That might help make up the extra chapters you need. :) Praying for you!

  • http://aqueeninhercastle.blogspot.com/ Lady Rose

I’m currently reading in the book of Psalms. Although there is more to read for this book, it reads faster because it’s written poetically, whch is a bonus for me, since I don’t read that fast.

I’m enjoying reading the Psalms. I’m sure I shall be challenged again when I get to the major prophet books (e.g., Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel). But for now, I am just thankful to be 6 days ahead of schedule, and found the determination to get through 2 Samuel to 2 Chronicles, which proved to be very challenging reads for me (Job was kind of challenging to read through too).

    -Lady Rose

  • Tabitha

I am almost finished with 2 Chronicles. Whew! Kings and Chronicles are very difficult for me to motivate myself to read, but almost there.

  • http://kerisblessings.blogspot.com/ keri Schreiner

I just started 2 Chronicles, so I am a little behind, but not too far. These chapters are alot harder then I thought. Its been a fun journay so far, I hope to finish on time, but with school its a bit time consuming.

  • http://godschallenge.wordpress.com/ Esther

Well I am into Kings which is a miracle with the week I have just had. I hope to at least stay on the behind track I am now on and not get even more behind maybe even catch up a little
