He guards my life… and can guard yours, too (Psalm 97 from A Psalm a Day)

Good morning, sweet friends!

It has been awhile since I’ve been in touch, but I have been reading the Psalms daily and I hope that you have, too. If you are on track with me, today we are on Psalm 97. I invite you to jump in today with that Psalm and keep going with me, reading one a day.

As I’ve been reading, I’ve been journaling as well on most days, recording a verse or two that grabs me and my responding prayer. Not quite a full SOAP, but something.

Today, in Psalm 97, here is what grabbed me:

"Let those who love the Lord hate evil,
for he guards the lives of his faithful ones
and delivers them from the hand of the wicked."
--Psalm 97:10

My prayer in response was:

Please deliver from the hand of the wicked, Lord. I love you. I hate evil.
I want to follow you alone. Please guide me and protect me from evil.
Thank you, Lord.
In Jesus name, Amen

I hope this blesses you in some way.

Are you still reading? Drop me a note. I’d love to know.

I’ll be praying for you.

In Love,
