Scripture: 1John 5:5
Who is it that overcomes the world? Only He who believes that Jesus is the son of God.
Observation: The only way to overcome the world is to believe that Jesus is who he (and God) said he was.
Application: There is only one way to eternal life. You can’t get it by just living well and being nice. God clearly says that the only way is through is son, Jesus Christ. Anyone who teaches differently is not teaching the Word of God.
Prayer: Thank you, Lord, for making this message so clear throughout the Bible. And thank you for sending your son to save me and everyone else who wants eternal life with you. Please guide those that don’t know you to know you. Use me however you wish, Lord, to bring those whom I can influence to know the truth. Help them to want to know the truth to seek it properly, so that they will find you and find true life.
