Join me in praying for our children?

It has been some time since I have invited our group to study or pray together and, well, now that I have two teenagers and one almost-teen, it has been way too long!

Regardless of your child or children’s ages, I’d love to invite you to read and pray with me as guided by The Power of a Praying Parent by Stormie Omartian. I have really enjoyed her Power of a Praying… series. They have taught me so much about leaning on scripture to pray for for myself, my husband and, yes, my children.

I realize it is a quick start without a lot of warning, but I am  planning to start praying for my children using her template beginning tomorrow/ Wednesday.  This is the schedule I will be using to pray for my children: (It follows the chapters in Power of a Praying Parent.)

Do you NEED the book to pray for your children with our group?

Yes, you can certainly pray for your children without the book, but Stormie offers so much rich insight, direction and scripture. Your heart will be changed if you employ the power of scripture which Stormie gives us in Power of a Praying Parent. I strongly encourage you to get your hands on a copy and be guided by her as you pray for your children. But, no, it is not required. I’m convinced the Holy Spirit hears our prayers.

By the way…Her book is easy to get– you can grab it online or at big and small bookstores alike. And, yep, for those wanting to jump right in, you can even get it on Kindle.

There aren’t any affiliate links here– I am making this suggestion without any monetary influence.

Care to join us in praying for your children? Can you just imagine how powerful our prayers could be??

If you’re in, please leave a note. I’ll be praying for you, too. :)

I have two teen sons as well. I’m in, just starting late. I’ve done this before for my boys and it is awesome to pray specifically like Stormie shares in her book.

  2. I just saw this will look locally and get it on Kindle if I can’t find it!
