Keep from straying. Proverbs 21

If you are reading the Proverbs in 31 Days with us, our reading for today is Proverbs 21.

Scripture: Proverbs 21:16

A man who strays from the path of understanding

comes to rest in the company of the dead.

Observation:

Keep learning and staying with God. Don’t stray.

Application:

It sounds to me like God is reminding me that, even after having high seasons of time with our Father, it is possible to stray and forget what I have learned or experienced.

I need to make sure that I always have a Bible reading plan or am taking part in a study so that I don’t stray and lose my path with the Lord.

I want Him to stay central in my life and it is worth the effort to keep Him there. It is important to not rest after a lot of time in the Word (like reading the Bible in 90 Days) but press on and find another reading or study plan.

Prayer:

Thank you, Lord, for this reminder to stay close to you and not stray from your path. Please continue to show me the studies and reading plans you have in mind for me, and help me to hear and follow your suggestions. Thank you, Lord, for your desire to keep us all close to you.
