He’s got your back– and your plan

Today’s scripture is one I see people lean on in times of trouble, but it’s one I smile about in times of joy, too. Actually it makes me smile a LOT in times of joy.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

–Proverbs 3:5-6

I don’t understand why God places so many gifts in my life, but he sure does and I am not going to question Him. Sometimes I wonder if I just notice the gifts He leaves me more than others see theirs at times. I don’t think I am any more blessed, I just stop take notice and acknowledge.

I also don’t understand the twists and turns my life has taken, but the more I look back on them, I can see that master plan and all the pieces that fit together so beautifully in hindsight. Looking forward I am still puzzled, but it’s not up to me to know what’s ahead. It’s just up to me to listen to Him, to trust in Him and to move forward doing my best to follow his guidance.

Sure, bad stuff happens, too. Yep, even really bad stuff. And I don’t get that. But I can’t let those bad things pull me down.

He’s there. He understands the big picture. I love it when I take notice of that. It certainly makes my heart sing.

What about you? Look back– can you see Him there?

  1. I couldn’t have explained the passage any better. I reflect on my life and thanks God everyday for putting everything in my life all the good and the bad. There is a reason why he continues to stay and I am so thankful for his love. I am not about to question God.

    1. Thanks… He has sure given us some good stuff. :)
