Dave Phinney of Orin Swift Cellars will be in Houston at the Heights Kroger store tomorrow, Tuesday, February 23, from 2- 5 pm, ready to sign bottles and talk wine. (If you haven’t shopped that Kroger for wine, get ready– it’s a pretty amazing selection!)
Phinney is in town to accept the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo’s “Grand Champion and Best of Show” Wine Competition award for his Mercury Head Cabernet.
I have had the honor of serving as a Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo wine judge for the past 3 years through my startup, VineSleuth/ Wine4.Me, and I can tell you this year was a very stiff competition– so many of the wines were outstanding, so we are definitely talking good juice.
Mark your calendar and swing by to meet Dave Phinney, snap a selfie with a wine-star, and pick up a bottle to get signed for that next special night.
