Memories to Share: Memory #9

memories-to-share-post

When I was a child, I remember baking cream pie with my great-grandmother, Mamu. Mamu would let us stir the cream mixture in the pot on the stove and also roll out the pie crust, dusting it with sugar before pouring the cream. She even had tiny pie tins in which my brother and I could bake our very own pies. I loved those moments, and I also loved making cinnamon popcorn balls with my mother one fall afternoon when I complained of being bored. Mom and I poked thorough the pantry and pulled out ingredients to make popcorn balls with red hots which I then wrapped and sold door to door later that afternoon. Of course there are also favorite dinner recipes and my dad’s eggnog that make me smile, too.

With the holidays in full swing, there have got to be tons of recipes and foods swirling around in your memories. Why not share about them?

Week 9’s prompt is:

Tell about a few favorite family recipes. Include the recipes if you can.
