Hard work versus talk. Proverbs 14

Happy Monday!

If you are reading the Proverbs in 31 Days with me, today we are on Proverbs 14.

Here is what I heard:

Scripture: Proverbs 14:23

All hard work brings a profit,

but mere talk leads only to poverty.

Observation:

Don’t just talk about what should be done. Do it.

Application:

There is so much I dream about doing and would like to do. But sometimes I dream myself into paralysis. I need to look at what I hope to do, pray about it, listen and decide on what is realistic and do it. Just talking about it or dreaming about it is not enough.

Prayer:

Lord, please guide me as I put this proverb into practice. Help me to pursue the things which are your plan and release those things which are not.

What about you?

How do you determine what is in God’s plan for you? Or what did you hear the most from today’s passage?

    I feel that God has really been speaking to my heart about patience. Proverbs 14 was another example of this. I’m so glad to be doing this study on Proverbs. I feel like the SOAP method is really making a difference.

    I was behind on some of my posting but I was all caught up on the study. Today the scripture I chose was Proverbs 14:1…{it is truly my favorite}
