Psalm 45: He is guiding me. And I want others to know that.

bible-study-post

I’ve been reading today’s passage over and over I am having a hard time determining what is for me.

It is a beautiful Psalm, but I think it talks about the glory one man, and the generations behind him, will experience. At the end, I’m not sure if that verse is directed to God or the the person. It could be to the person, saying his name will live on forever due to the fact that he listens to God and honors him, but I am not sure. And owning that verse is uncomfortable to me.

Can you do me a favor?

Will you read today’s passage, Psalm 45, and tell me what thoughts you may have on the passage? I’d really like to know.

As I read it again, I think it is praise for one who follows the Lord, which is powerful. I can say that I want people to see Him in me, I want them to know that He is behind my actions… and in front of them, too,  guiding me.

Hmmm. So maybe I do have a SOAP of the whole thing.

Scripture:

All of Psalm 45

Observation:

The subject of the Psalm follows the Lord and others see that

Application:

I want others to see Him in my life, too. I want them to know THAT is where my strength and guidance comes from.

Prayer:

Father God, thank you for your guidance and love. Thank you for bringing me right to where I am and for continuing to lead me to where is next. Please continue leading me. Please show me the way. I certainly need to you achieve success in any and all ways of my life…I want to follow your definition of success and then see it, too. Please, let me continue to hear you. Please do not go silent. And please let all who know me know that YOU are my guide. Thank you, Lord.

Amen.

Wow! I lobe how He always shows up if I think about it enough. Thanks for taking this journey to hearing him this morning with me. And, please, if you have any thoughts, I’d still love to hear them.
