Psalm 64: Taking refuge in Him

bible-study-post

Good morning. I’m sorry I missed you yesterday. My day didn’t get off on the start I had hoped.

But I’m back today. Let’s just run with that.

Here’s what I heard in Psalm 64 when applying SOAP:

Scripture:  Psalm 64: 10

Let the righteous on rejoice in the Lord

and take refuge in him!

Let all the upright in heart exult!

Observation:

Let those that are His stand with Him and be protected and overcome evil.

Application:

This Psalm talks about some nasty enemies taking aim and attacking.

I am feeling attacked by the enemy right now. I do not like it.

Today’s reading reminds me to stand firm in Him, as He will guide me and protect me. I cannot let the enemy have any power over me, because the ultimate power is here, with me, and if I take refuge in Him, He will protect me and we will overcome.

Prayer:

Lord, I am weary. I feel the attacks and I do not like it one bit. I know you are mighty. I know you are strong. I have seen how you provide, guide and protect. Lord, please protect my family. I am seeking refuge in you. Push the enemy away so we can exult in you.

Thank you, Lord, for your mighty power and protection.

In your son’s precious name I pray,

Amen.
