Roll with the Punches- #TravelTipTuesday

As I type this week’s Travel Tip, I’m doing so with one finger hunting & pecking on my phone, using hotel wifi after having been scheduled on one international flight which sat on the ground for 4 hours before it was cancelled and de-planed, and then having the second flight suffer cancellation issues, as well.

Yep. This one comes from FRESH experience.

Part of traveling is stepping out of your normal life zone. When that happens, flights can get cancelled, hotel rooms may not be exactly as you’d expect, food may be very different and sleep patterns will likely be disrupted. All of that isn’t always bad, but sometimes it is.

When you are hit with things that don’t go the way you’d like when traveling, try your very best to inhale, wait, exhale….. and remember the gifts you ARE experiencing while traveling.

Yes, this delay is a pain. But it is what it is. Yelling isn’t going to fix it. Being unfriendly isn’t going to make it any better. Pausing to remember why I’m here and the great things I’ve experienced just might make me smile in the midst of my frustration.

Pardon me while I go exhale…

(And try again for scheduled flight #3 home.)
