SOAP: He’s gonna come through

Scripture:

The one who calls you is faithful,

and He will do it.

–1 Thessalonians 5:34

Observation:

He is true to His Word. He will see you through.

Application:

Sometimes life, or certain parts of life, can feel like it is going off the tracks. And it simply cannot be the way God intended. I think when that happens, it sure CAN be true that  it is not what God intended at all.

This verse today, reminds me, though, that HE IS FAITHFUL, even in all the things that don’t go the way we want them to go. He is right there with us, holding our hand and guiding us— if we call on Him to do so.

I am not saying everything happens for a reason.

What I am saying is that He will see us through.

He is faithful. He will show us our path if we ask. He will stand by us, always. Even when things aren’t looking good, He is there, if we ask Him to be.

Prayer:

Father God,

Thank you for this reminder of your presence. Thank you for being here in the ick and in the good.

Guide us please, as we navigate the tougher stuff. Help us to follow your path and please, Father, send the resources and signs we need to follow the paths you have determined to be right.

I love you, God. I trust you. You’ve got this (even when I don’t.) Thank you.

A few things to think about…

Life has got some tough stuff in it. Believe me, I know. (Blog life might look all happy, and I do have a lot of joy, but I face mega struggles, too. I just don’t write about them here in detail.)

When you struggle, what is your guide or strength… or do you always feel all alone?

How can you (or do you) ask Him to be your guide?

Has He put others in your life as resources?

Are there challenges He has guided you though in the past? If so, how do you memorialize that, if you do?

Thanks so much for joining me today. I hope and pray these bits of SOAP are encouraging to you and that you are able to SOAP your own thoughts on each verse, as well.

The last anyone in our family has heard from my brother was about 6 months ago. I have gone back and forth being terribly worried and then somewhat angry. Now I am more calm, because I remembered that he is in God’s hands.

    1. Oh, LuAnn, ouch. That’s gotta hurt. I am so thankful my SOAP (And HIS WORD) is helping to bring you calmness. Hold tight to Him. I’ll be praying for you, your family and your brother.
