Scripture:
Then Jesus declared,
I am the bread of life.
Whoever comes to me will never be hungry,
and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”
–John 6:35
Observation:
He is the giver of life and He will provide all we need.
Application:
When you seek true, really fulfilling life, seeking Him will make a a huge difference.
He will change your perspective. He will give you all you really need– both in this world and in the next. Really.
That’s pretty powerful.
He doesn’t want us to be hungry for more than we need. He wants to give it to us. But we need to seek and believe.
Prayer:
Father God, I want the life you have in store for me. I don’t want to have hunger or thirst– I want to find fulfillment from you. Please guide me, Lord, as I live, that I may keep my focus where it needs to be: on you.
Thank you for providing adventure, solace, food, nourishment in so many forms, desire, comfort and so much else to me. Thank you for guiding me in pursuit of the dreams and life you have placed before me.
Use me, Lord, however you see fit. I am yours. All I have was given to me by you. And you’re right, there’s no painful hunger here.
