SOAP- Seeking instruction? I sure am!

Happy Monday, friends!

Ready for some SOAP?

Let’s go:

Here’s your Scripture:

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go. I will counsel you and watch over you.

–Psalm 32:8

Observation:

I read and copied the verse onto an index card just a few hours ago and thinking about it has been super-reassuring to me.

In this verse I observe that He is looking out for me. He wants to guide me. He WILL guide me and counsel me and teach me.

Application:

Thinkig this over this morning has made me gratefeul. I have applitied by thinking about so many time where He HAS guided. I can so quicky jup into prayer requests and forget to pause and say THANK YOU for the guidance He has offered me time and time again. Fr me, I felt I needed to apply this in two ways:

  1. Thank Him for his guidance and instruction.
  2. Be a better listener to His guidance and instruction. I need to calm myself and really listen. He’s got the good stuff for me. I just need to LISTEN.

Prayer:

Father God, you are AMAZING! Your faithfulness astounds me. You listen, listen, and listen some more to everything I ask… and then you answer.

You have guided me on so many wonderful paths with incredible experiences along the way. You have given me resilience. You have surrounded me with interesting people with interesting stories of strength and innovation and perseverance. You have given me favor and reassurance and love, sweet love. You have forgiven my mistakes– big ones and little ones, and shown me how to correct my ways.

Father God, I am so truly thankful for your instruction and teaching and counsel. You have truly been watching over me every moment of my life. Thank you, Father for that and more.

Please, Lord, as you know I am ever full of questions and wanting your guidance, please, Lord, help me to s-l-o-w down and be a better listener to you and to those around me you have placed in my life from whom I am to learn. I want your wisdom. Please help me to always hear it and apply it.

I love you, God. Thank you.

What about you?

That’s gorgeous reassurance for me.  I have been so energized by today’s SOAP verse. (Can you tell??)
I can’t help but be grateful for that guidance and love. What about you? What are your OAP for this verse today?
