SOAP: Using our gifts to work together

Scripture: 1Corinthians 12:4-8

4There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. 6There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men.

7Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.

Observation: There are many different types of gifts and abilities given to us by God so that we can work together for the common good.

Application: How amazing would it be if more groups worked together for the common good rather than competing against each other?

In what ways can we pull together and strengthen each other for the good of all and the sharing of the gospel?

Oh my dear sweet friends, I have an idea. And I’ve been praying about it. And once I am sure I have the green light, you’ll be hearing from me!

How amazing it could be if so many more of us worked together? He has given us all the pieces. We just need to put them together!

Prayer: Heavenly Father, you tell us that the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. Guide us in working together and recognizing our gifts and how we can work together for that common good.

Let us cast our egos aside and place you first and work together for YOUR will.

Help bloggers, moms, friends, acquaintances and family-members see their God-given gifts and how to use them for your glory alone.

Thank you, Lord for your master plan and allowing each of us to take part.

Please guide my thoughts and actions as I pull together a team to work for you and share your Word. And be with all the others that are doing the same. To YOU be the glory, for we couldn’t pull together without you at the center, inspiring us with your word, inspiring us to share your word.

  1. That was a wonderful post and it’s true; Sometimes we spend so much time picking on each other for what bible we read, what church we go to, or what we do or do not do, that our focus loses from Him and too much on each other.

It’s not about us. It’s about Him!

    Great reflection on the verse!
