The secret to getting things done: Proverbs 10

Scripture: Proverbs 10:4

Lazy hands make a man poor,

but diligent hands bring wealth.

Observation:

Keep working, not procrastinating, to experience success.

Application:

I think this could apply to actual work to produce output, as well as working toward building a stronger relationship with our Father.

If you want to achieve anything, sitting still and procrastinating or aimlessly thinking about it will not get you there.

Taking action, whether that be Bible study, prayer time and application of what was learned or work in a more physical sense yields results and wealth. Lazy hands do not.

If you want something, do something about it.

Prayer:

Thank you, Lord for this reminder to stop sitting still, mushing around what needs to be done, but instead get in there and go for it.

I want to hear you better, so I need to make more time to listen. And there are plenty of other things you know I could work harder on, too. I’m in. I’m off to take some action. And I will be diligent.

What about you?
