Week 6 Check in for New Testament in 40 Days :)

Happy FINAL WEEK of the New Testament in 40 Days, friends!

Today is check in day and our reading today is 1 Peter- 2 Peter.

YES, I’ll post another check in this weekend so you can post that YES, you FINISHED reading the entire New Testament…. and we can celebrate together…..WOOO HOOO…. so please keep reading and get it done on time. :))))

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Let’s focus on today and this week.

How’s it going?

Isn’t it getting exciting? Today’s reading really felt to me like a beautiful instructional entry, kinda pulling it all together. Did it feel that way to you? Not soapbox-y, just factual. I really enjoyed both books. So much beauty.

I especially appreciated 1 Peter 1:13:

“Therefore, prepare your minds for action: be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed.

and

Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for your brothers, love one another deeply from the heart. (1 Peter 1:22)

So much about love… pure, true love of others. That’s a beautiful thing to work toward. And I believe it is something he wants us to want for many reasons.

I also heard many warnings about false teachers.

So I guess, basically, what struck me today was truth… and following and weighing TRUTH.

What about you? What have you been hearing? Anything pulling at you more than anything else?

Again, I am SO grateful to you for reading with me!

In love,

I’m on track and loving every minute of the readings. I cannot give thanks to God enough for leading me to your website!

  4. I keep plugging along. I am a day behind the schedule but that is OKAY, right? I read so much over the weekend and was excited to read entirely through several books I have never read! I really am glad to have taken on this task of reading through the NT!
