What happens to the martyrs for Him?

Scripture: Revelation 7:14-17

¹⁴And I said to him, “Sir, you are the one who knows.”

Then he said to me, “These are the ones coming out of great tribulation. They washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb and made them white. ¹⁵That is why they are standing in front of the throne of God, serving him day and night in his Temple. And he who sits on the throne will live among them and shelter them. ¹⁶They will never again be hungry or thirsty, and they will be fully protected from the scorching noontime heat. ¹⁷For the Lamb who stands in front of the throne will be their Shepherd. He will lead them to the springs of life-giving water. And God will wipe away all their tears.”

Observation: Those who give so much and suffer so much in the world for His name will be comforted and protected.

Application: A friend sent me this link about a mother in Egypt who is being beaten and whose children are being starved in an effort to make her renounce Christ.

It has been haunting me since I read the message.

How easy it is to be a believer in the USA.

Please pray for this woman, and the many like her.

Prayer: Oh Heavenly Father, it is my wish that evil would not exist. And I do not fully understand why you let it lurk. But you are the All-Knowing and you are in control. Please, Lord, comfort this woman, her family and all others like her. Keep her gaze on you and show your strength, power and love through her. And thank you for the promise of your victory over all evil, and for sharing that victory with your followers.
