What is with the girly clothes-changing thing?

My daughter totally cracks me up…  and is also driving me batty.

What is up with all the clothes changing?

It is a rare naptime or bedtime that she is wearing the same thing upon wake-up that she was wearing when I kissed her good night. Why is that?

And, by the piles I find next to her bed, she changes several times. Bathing suits, pajamas, dresses and jeans… Nothing is off-limits (except her dress-up clothes which I keep outside of her bedroom). I think the doorknob cover is going back on her closet door.

I’m not a clothes horse.  I don’t think I ever was. (Mom– did I do this when I was 2??) But my daughter, oh my goodness, she has an opinion every time I dress her. Even the underwear.

My 7-year-old son just started expressing his opinions in clothes MAYBE a year ago. And his biggest comments are that he doesn’t want to wear the same thing as his 5-year-old brother. (Understandable.)

But my daughter…  her opinions are bigger than that.  And evidently naptime attire matters, too.

Aaaackkkkk!! Gotta go. I hear her up there rummaging again. And it is naptime!!!
