The link also came with an email explaining that the song came to be after a four year old boy at the mall, seeing the line to see Santa Claus, and knowing the true meaning of Christmas, asked his mom where the line to see Jesus was. The boy’s grandfather was told what happened at the mall and was inspired to write the first version of the song, with input from his daughter (the little boy’s aunt).
