Bible 180: Let’s Begin/ Week 1 Resources and Check-in

Hello and welcome to the first week of reading the entire Bible, cover to cover, in just 180 days with me and many others in this unique, enthusiastic online community. Here is what we are reading this week:

I’m Amy, and I’ve guided thousands of people in reading the Bible cover to cover through the years, mostly in just 90 days. This time, I’m offering a 6-month plan that I crafted to make it easier to fit into everyday life and to give the content time to settle in a bit more.

A key to success is a touch of accountability. I offer that in two ways:

  1. free daily email from me, where I send you the day’s reading assignment, encouragement, tips for reading, and sometimes ask for a quick response from you via email so I know you are with us. (Once you sign up, be sure to search for the confirmation email and click the link in it to confirm your subscription.)
  2. These weekly check-in posts, where I ask you to leave a simple comment to let fellow readers know you are a part of the group and how you are doing.

Each week, I will post resources here on MomsToolbox to help you as you read. I will share

  • the weekly reading schedule
  • a printable PDF with extra resources (and the reading schedule so you can check it off as you read). Go ahead, check out this week’s resource here: Bible 180 Week 1 Resource PDF

All you have to do is read… and let me know you are here. (I’m creating all of these resources for you for free. All I ask is that you commit to doing the reading and then let me know you are, in fact, reading. Seems like a pretty good trade-off!)

Reading the Bible is a massive task. You will be so amazed when you turn that last page and have read the WHOLE thing. You wil be amazed as you read and things start to click. You will also be amazed, angry, and frustrated at times. And it is worth it. I really was in tears of joy the first time I finished… and then shed tears of joy again with groups that I have guided over the finish.

Stay with me and you will have read every word by December 27. You can do this. I will be here every page of the way.

So…. who is in? Please drop a comment below and let us know you are here. Bonus points for telling us what part of the world you are from and why you decided to join us for this read-through. And if you really want to succeed, sign up for the daily emails, too. You’ll get them starting the day you sign up, from where we are in the reading, not day one, so don’t delay!

Big virtual hugs,

Amy

I am here and a day behind on reading but we are about to head to the beach for a long weekend so the plan is to catch up and get at least one day ahead. So far the reading has not been hard. Just have to make the half hour to get it done each day.

So happy to be on track and reading through the Bible! I wanted to read the Bible in 2026 and fell off track so I’m glad I found this and I will still finish the whole Bible in 2026! Reading along from Tampa, FL!
