I love identifying the blessings God sends my way. I may not get them all down, but it’s still been a blast recording a few and sharing them over the past few days. I hope I’m inspiring you to recognize blessings in your own life, big and small.
Yesterday I saw God in the following ways:
Hanging out with friends from my children’s school in Fort Worth during a state academic competition. It was a glorious, breezy day. I loved sitting, chatting and relaxing with the kids and adults. Life is so busy, so it was wonderful to take a few hours and just slow down. The fact that we were all gathered as a result of our children excelling in academics and qualifying for state made it sweeter. Which leads me to…
Watching my son prepare for his competition and then, when he did not place, his graceful response. He improved his score from the district competition, but not enough to place at state. He was perfectly okay with that, as he should have been. I loved watching him feel as though he had done his best and then be comfortable in the improvement he achieved.
After that, more blessings flowed…
We enjoyed time with family in the Dallas area. I love how much my children enjoy their cousins, and how much their cousins enjoy them. And I am truly blessed to have married into a family of wonderful, interesting, positive people. I loved catching up with the girls and also by brother and sister-in-law.
Aaaaahhhh. God has blessed me. Thank you, Father.
