B 90 Days Day 30 SOAP

Today’s Reading: 1 Chronicles 10:1- 1 Chronicles 23:32

Wow! Here we are at Day 30 in reading the entire Bible in 90 days! If you are on track, that means that you are 1/3 of the way through the Bible! How does that feel?

If you are far behind, why don’t you set a goal for yourself to be completely caught up by Day 45, Wednesday, August 18? That will be our half-way mark and it will be smooth sailing from there. (Well, kind of.)

There were some great ideas for getting caught up in the Week Four check in post and some great inspiration for reading the Bible in 90 Days in the comments of yesterday’s check in post.

Okay, on with some SOAP for today:

Scripture:
1 Chronicles 22: 19
Now devote your heart and soul to seeking the Lord your God. Begin to build the sanctuary of the Lord God, so that you may bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord and the sacred articles belonging to God into the temple that will be built for the Name of the Lord.

Observation:
It is time to focus on seeking me, the Lord, and prepare a place so others will remember what I have done.

Application:
I like how God was very clear in calling out to David and asking him to focus on Him. Reading this, I have no doubt He is calling out to me and saying, “Hey, Amy, don’t forget about me! Even in all the busy-ness of your life, stop and focus on me. Build a place for me in your heart and in your life that shines through so others see it and will know I am with you.

Prayer:
Lord, thank you for meeting me every time I read your word. It amazes me that you always have a message for me to hear and take to heart.

Please guide me as I follow you. Help me to scrape away what needs to go in my life and focus on seeking you in all that I do. In parenting, guide me in serving you. In serving my husband, guide me in serving you. In my hobbies and blogging, guide me in honoring you. And in my friendships, guide me in honoring and serving you.

Thank you, Lord for offering up the Bible as a way I can remember you every single day. And thank you for meeting me when I read and when I pray. Please continue to guide me so that I can live the ice you intend for me and seek you always.
