B 90 Days SOAP: Distracted by bigger, louder things?

Day 26 of the Bible in 90 Days

Scripture: 1Kings 19:12

After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper.

Observation: Elijah was told to stand in the presence of the Lord as it was about to pass by. Elijah was able to listen and decipher just when the Lord did pass by.

Application: How often am I distracted by the bigger, louder things and miss the whispers of the Lord?

Prayer: Lord, help me to have a more discerning heart and hear all that you have to share with me. Please guide me in not responding to what makes to loudest commotion, but instead to what truly comes from you.
