Bear Fruit! Luke 13

Today our reading is Luke 13.

Here is what I heard:

Scripture: Luke 13: 8-9

“Sir,’ the man replied, ‘leave it alone for one more year, and I’ll dig around it and fertilize it. If it bears fruit next year, fine! If not, then I’ll cut it down.’”

Observation:

The man wanted to give the tree one more chance to bear fruit before tearing it down.

Application:

Am I bearing fruit with what I have been given? And am I helping others to bear fruit? Or am I just wasting resources?

Prayer:

Lord, please guide me in using the resources you continually give me to bear fruit. I don’t want to just be a waste in your vineyard, but one who blossoms and helps others to do the same. Help me to shepherd my children so that they will blossom and please also guide me in helping other bloggers to blossom in sharing your Word.

Thank you, Lord.

What about you?

How are you blossoming?

And what else stood out to you in today’s reading?
