Bible in 90 Days- Open Letter to Bloggers Participating

As I am sure you can imagine, it has been very exciting for me to see so many other bloggers embrace the Bible in 90 Days challenge. I am so excited for the reading to begin January 1 and am even more excited to see how it changes each of us once we finish… and even beyond that.

I decided to launch this program online with one goal in mind: to help as many people as possible read the Bible, attentively, from cover to cover. With that end in mind, I want to help you help your readers that are participating to succeed, as well.

Many of you are hosting your own communities to discuss the reading, which is fantastic. Ted Cooper, the founder of the program, has determined that accountability is a key factor in success. Your encouragement of your readers, especially since you might already have a relationship with them, will be a huge help in encouraging them to finish.

It is important, though, to have a central sign-up place for all participants. This will help all of the participants see how big our community of readers is and will also help Bible in 90 Days keep track of the success of the program.

Please encourage your readers to sign up via a link or comment at this post on MomsToolbox.com.

Throughout the program I will have weekly check-in posts on Mondays so everyone can comment as to where they are in the reading. By giving a weekly deadline it will help people to be held accountable. Having this in a central place will again help all the readers see the program in its entirety and be encouraged by everyone. (When I took this class and then facilitated it in person, we had to wear color-coded nametags as to whether we were caught up on the reading or not. That encouraged many of us to keep up!!)

Friday, January 1 I will post on some guidelines which will lead to the success of the program and explain our Twitter discussions and weekly audio messages which will delve into each week’s reading. Please invite your readers to read that post. And mark your calendar now to join us weekly on Mondays on Twitter from 8-9 CST (THIS IS A NEW TIME) using  #B90Days. And thank you for sharing the word… and Word!

Just so you know… I promise I am not being compensated in any way through this challenge. I actually made a donation to Bible in 90 Days to cover many of the promotional materials used. So you can be sure my motives are pure and I am not using this as a way to build traffic or page views… I do not make any money on my blog in any way. My motivation for having all readers sign up and check in on one spot is that I want to give this program the best chance for success.

Thanks, again, for all of your enthusiasm for the program. Please feel free to email me or comment any time with any questions or concerns you may have.  This is going to be an exciting 90 days!

In His Service,
