Bible in 90 Days Week 10/ Day 64 Check in

Happy Labor Day… and Happy Week 10 of the Bible in 90 Days!

By the time you go to sleep tonight, to be up to date you should have read up to Hosea 13:6 or page 768 in the Bible in 90 Days Bible.

Yes, we WILL meet tonight on Twitter from 8-9 CST even though it is Labor Day, so I hope you can join us as we chat about the reading to date and the program in general.

With only 26 days to go, how is it coming? Can you believe you have almost read the entire Bible? If you are ahead or on track, what has been the secret to your success? If you are behind, what steps are you taking to make your reading happen and finish with the rest of us October 2?

Link up, leave a comment and let us know.

(If you are linking a post, please be sure to link directly to the post and not your homepage. Also, please link back to this post directly from the post on your site and also leave a comment here. Leaving a comment helps me to better keep track of everyone. Thanks!!)

I promise to pray for each commenter individually. Would you please also pick a few commenters to pray for, as well?

  1. I keep forgetting to check in on time (we have Ladies’ Fellowship at my church on Mondays….), but I’m on track! Haven’t read yet today, but went ahead and finished Amos last night.

  2. I know I’m seriously late with this check in post! I’m sorry!! I am still going. Not strong though and I’m very behind! I’ve been sick the last 3 days and tonight I was in the ER with my hubby (nothing to serious they think). I didn’t even get to read while I was sitting there cause my phone died!! I still believe I will finish with the rest of you :)

  3. Still hanging on …….

  4. Oh dear, I think I forgot to check in this week! Thank you God for attaching my head to my body lest I forget where I put it. I’ll do better next Monday, promise.
On Monday I was actually 2 days behind, but through some much needed quiet Mommy time I am now one day ahead!

  5. Sorry I’m late! We got back to town late last night. I’m a couple of days behind, but catching up is first thing on my to-do list…well, after unpacking and going to the grocery store! :-)

  6. Monday check-in being done on Tuesday. On vacation and little behind. Will catch-up when we arrive back home.

  7. I completely forgot to check in yesterday! However, I am on track and SO excited that in one month I will have read the Bible from cover to cover!

  8. Oh Ezekiel, you are killing me.

As you can see, I am a little behind! We are moving on Saturday so it feels like everything is in shambles… Especially my routine. But I am committed to catching up this week! And by the way… My husband and his brother have started their own 90 days-how awesome is THAT?!

  9. I fell behind a bit, about 3 or 4 days but intend to catch up. Thank you

  10. I’m on day 63.

  11. I’m on day 63. Can’t sleep so I’m reading! Almost forgot to check-in, oops!

  12. Hello Everyone! I’m only 2 days behind which I promised myself I would be caught up by tonight. So I am feeling rather guilty about not being on target. But tomorrow is another day to keep on moving forward and reading and soaking up God’s words! I am praying especially for anyone else who is also finding themselves behind and feeling bad about it. Just keep reading!!

  13. 2 days behind. :(

I’m actually a little ahead in my reading! I am so excited to have read so much. I still can hardly take it in and I’m still amazed at how it has changed me.

  15. Just a little bit behind but will be back on track by tomorrow. I cannot believe how much of the Bible I have read!!! It is absolutely amazing and this is such a long awaited goal that I have now almost accomplished! Praise God!!! I must say that to read the Bible from cover to cover is a life experience that is absolutely remarkable and overwhelmingly rewarding. The entire Bible and God’s Word takes on a whole new meaning when one takes the time to read through it in the order that it is written rather than by one selected book or story at a time. I cannot thank Amy enough for this extraordinary opportunity to fulfill such a life changing and blessed experience with so many wonderful people sharing the journey. And, as always, thanks to God for leading me here to fulfill this goal in which to draw me even closer to Him and His Word.

I would also like to take the time to share that I am the first in many generations within my family lineage to actually read the Bible and to do so from cover to cover. Praise God, through Him and His Word, our family lineage will never be the same again and it all starts with just one person. Through this triumph of God’s glorious generational changes and blessings, understandably, life may try to interfere and throw us many obstacles while choosing to remain faithful to God, especially after so many previous generations did not. However, I am blessed knowing that my children, and future generations that I may never meet, will be able to receive the blessings and inherit the kingdom of the Lord because they learned wholeheartedly to trust and rely upon Him and their faith instead.

To all of my fellow Bible readers: I pray that each one of you fulfill this task that we all set out to accomplish together and that we each come to know God more intimately in our every day lives through our faithfulness and patience within ourselves to press forward to read His entire Word regardless of where we are in the reading. The goal is within sight, and God and our relationship with Him, is worth every minute of our reading and faithfulness to see this through…just as God continues to always be faithful to each of us! Thanks for your prayers and I will be praying for each of you as we press forward continuing along our journey together!

    Abundant Blessings!

  16. I am at Ezekiel 41, not up to date but not far behind!

  17. Sorry I missed the tweet up tonight! Still on track! Hallelujah!

  18. I am still a few days behind, but I think I’ll have a little free time this week to catch up! I keep reminding myself that there are 2 grace days, so I’m really only 1.5 days behind to complete in 90!

  19. I am STILL four days behind. But, not going to worry about it since the Old Testament is almost over. Those prophets are killing me! So, I’m hopeful that God’s timing is good and that I’m reading things on schedule — for me. ;)

I am still a bit ahead and have not used my graces days yet… so I can almost see the finishing line. It is a bit bitter sweet to see the end in sight, this has been such a great experience. I am learning so much about God and so many of my false believes have been corrected, and the Covenant of Grace is even clearer to me as I read and is washed by the Word of God.
My ‘secret’ to reading is to do it first thing every morning no matter what. Often God prompts me to wake up and instead of trying to go back to sleep I pull out my Bible. If I do not finish before the boys wake up, I read it before I head to bead. No other reading until the Bible is done… great incentive as I so want my coffee and a newspaper to wake up. Before I start, I fall down on my knees and pray face on the floor for God to show me what I need to learn and understand from what I am reading. I have never felt greater or closer to God!!

  21. I ended up finishing today! I checked in this morning, and I was at the end of Day 83, but I ended up having some quiet time in the afternoon (thanks to my awesome husband taking all three kids to the park!) and again this evening, so I read to the end.

This has been life changing! I am so incredibly glad I did this challenge. I will be praying hard for every member of our group to make it to the finish line! You can do it everyone! It is SO WORTH IT!!!

  22. I have been resding through the comments. They are encouraging to me. I am still very much behind. And my husband is behind as well. But both of us are committed to do this. My grandson is starting his two day a week preschool. So I am hoping to use some of that time to get caught up. God is so good.

  23. Checking in! Where has the time gone? Can’t believe we are so close to the finish line.

I almost forgot to check in, oops! I’m a couple of days behind right now. I had to travel last week and got out of my routine. And didn’t catch up over the weekend. I could use an extra prayer to help me catch up this week and to get back in my regular routine. (Don’t you hate it when life gets in the way!)

  25. I’m currently half way through day 60. I plan on getting caught up in the next couple of days. I seem to be on a roller coaster with being caught up – getting ahead – and falling behind :)

  26. just got back from vacation so missed the call. But I am ALMOST caught up! I plan to be caught up next week. Have a great week. Cindy

  27. I’m about 5 days behind but currently reading pretty much a full day’s worth each day. I know I’ll catch up – I just have to figure out when! :)
Probably a little behind on checking in with my mentor group too if you’ll pray for me to find time for that as well. I’m not having as much computer access as I used to and hate to use time when kids are in bed on the computer instead of reading. Always a juggling act, right!?

I’m on track and know it’s only by His grace that I’ve found the time and stayed disciplined to read every morning at 5:30am. I’m excited to turn the pages into the New Testament this week.
Blessings to all of our fellow participants.

I finished the end of Ezekial and all of Daniel today. We had a 2 hour road trip one way and I was able to catch up quite a bit. Ezekial was VERY hard for me to get through. I look forward to reading all of Hosea in one sitting (at least that is my plan) before the kids wake up tomorrow morning.
