Bible in 90 Days Week 10 Rally

Can you believe we are more than 2/3 into our time of reading the entire Bible together?

As we launch into week 10 of reading the Bible in 90 days together, I’d like to pull our group together, see how everyone is doing and rally for a strong finish.

What we are doing is not easy.

What we are doing hasn’t been done by even half of those who are Christians.

What we are doing is powerful, meaningful and probably irritates Satan quite a bit.

This session I’ve asked readers to check in with their mentors directly rather than hosting a group check in here as I’ve done in the past. Your mentors are doing their best to pray for you and keep you reading. And today I want you to see how many of you are out there, reading and praying and fighting to fit this in your schedule. To do that, I’ve asked your 45 mentors to ask you to visit this post today and sound off. I know as your groups have shrunk in numbers the feeling of community can be lost… but our community is still strong. There are still so many of us in this together.

I want each of you to see that you are not struggling alone. I want each of you to see others who are reading, learning, listening, being inspired and also getting frustrated.

You are not alone. We are in this together. And we can finish together, if each of you is committed to it.

If you are one of those struggling… Do you still want to read the Bible in 90 days? Think back to when you first signed up and I asked you those questions. I know that if it wasn’t for the Bible in 90 Days program, I might never have read the whole thing. And I know I am not alone in that. What about you? Why did you decide to join in? Do you still believe in that reason? I still believe you can do this and finish with us. I know you can, if you want to.

If you are one of those on track… How’s it going? What are your secrets for staying on track? Have you had to catch up from a distance? And have you felt any other life changes or heard any messages loud and clear, or even just whispered while you have been reading?

Today please leave a comment to let us know how you are doing and if you are still with us. Your comment can be as short or as long as you like. At the very least, let us know you are there, and, if possible, let us know how the process is going for you.

Then, after you comment, please pick three others to pray for and leave a reply to their comment so they’ll know someone is praying for their success and growth in Christ.

Let’s pull together for these last weeks and cheer each other on. I want each of you to finish with us on November 17. You CAN do this if you want to… Even if you are still on day three’s reading assignment.

Thanks for giving it a go. Now let’s DO THIS!

If you need any resources like the either reading schedule or the link to You are Here in the Bible, please click on over to the Bible in 90 Days resource page after you leave a comment.

So… how’s it coming?

  1. Praise God! This has been an amazing challenge, as I’ve wavered from wanting to just stop, to knowing that I would finish. Connecting with Amy, the grace & wisdom of our fearless leader Dawn and the community of our Team was a huge encouragement that made all the difference! I read whenever – stealing every opportunity! I read aloud and with much emphasis to keep myself engaged, during the more difficult times or passages. The most important strategy & benefit was Faith in God – this is what I was to do, in this season, and faith that even if it seemed (at times) pointless, that the Holy Spirit was at work on my behalf and my job was simply to read. It was a quick read-through, an overview and it was so beneficial in terms of focus and in spiritual appetite. As an encouragement to all who started and to those who finished – God is not concerned with your performance in this – He loves you & knows your heart!

    1. Lynda, this was such an inspiring entry! Thank you!!

I am still hanging in there and am a couple days ahead. Having someone to talk to me and hold me accountable has really helped! ( Thank you Karen!)

    1. I hope you are still reading and going strong! :)

  3. I am here! I am so behind but I will catch up. It has been a very hard year for me. My car was stolen and the people I worked for are not paying me what they owe. Long story short I had to move back in with my wonderful daughter. I have really been wrestling with God about all of this. Yesterday He gave me such a peace. It’s gonna be all right. Today I learned I will be getting into an apartment and have a new job on November 1st. I have been so thankful for dear Linda’s prayers (my leader). She has faithfully checked in each time and replied with I’m praying for you. I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel that’s not a train coming from the other way. Thank God He doesn’t give up on us when we’d like to give up. I praise Him for the opportunity to be amongst other believers just trying to do what He wants us to. Thank you so much for having this group!

    1. I’m thankful you found us and are reading with us! I hope that new job brings you joy! :)

  4. I am sorry to be late in posting, I haven’t been at the couple all week. I am behind in my reading, but catching up quickly! I know that the first time I read B90, I was behind in the Old Testament, but caught up very quickly in the New Testament. I think that is because most of us are more familiar with the New Testament, rather than the Old. I am a group leader this time through. I love this program. And although I find myself behind, at the moment, I know this reading can be done in 90 days! Last time through, I finsihed in 87 Days! It can be done. Don’t be discouraged… be encouraged! It seems like an impossible task… but God makes it VERY possible! Just keep reading! He is blessing you for your efforts!

    1. Hang in there and thanks for being on our mentor team. :)

  5. Sorry for checking in this late. I’m behind but still enjoying the challenge. I have no intention of giving up and am trying hard to catch up.

    1. Keep reading, Debbie! You CAN do this!!!

  6. This is my first opportunity to comment. Sorry I’m so late.
It has been harder than I expected and there were times when I wasn’t sure I really wanted to do it. But it’s been SO worth it! I’ve learned a lot and for the first time the major and minor prophets actually made more sense. I think I’ll probably do this again next year. It’s been a wonderfuul experience.

    1. I’m proud of you for sticking to it and staying strong. You CAN do it! :)

  7. Sorry I’m late checking in here. I checked in with my group as normal, but have only just now seen the request to check in here this week. I’m quite a bit behind. it’s getting harder and I seem to be getting busier as the time goes along. I am enjoying reading right through the Bible for the first time and I’ll keep going until I’m finished whether I make it in the 90 days or not.

    1. Tamicah, You have a great attitude – to just keep reading! There is so much benefit in this. I’m praying for you that as you are taking time to read the Word, that the Lord makes time for you to reach your goals. .

    2. This does get hard and I am so proud of you for sticking to it until you reach the last page. :)

  8. This is my second time reading the bible in 90 days. The closer you get to the end, the harder it is. I’m still hanging in there.

    1. I agree.. it gets harder and easier.. but never as easy as I think it should be! :) Keep it up!

  9. Sorry to be checking in late! I’m behind but reading like crazy to catch up. The mentor of my group assigned us Bible Buddies to be an extra support and encouragement to each other between check ins, and that has been so much help.

    1. Love the idea of “Bible Buddies”…I’ll be an impromptu one right now and cheer you on–you can do it! Blessings.

    2. LOVE that! We’ve got some great mentors on board!!

I know I am a day late, but just wanted to say how encouraged I have been with my group. I seem to be the straggler, always a bit behind, but everyone is so supportive. I also wanted to write and let Amy know how much I love the smaller bites on the chronological plan. I know we are reading just as much per day as they do with the cover-to-cover plan, but being a to-do list kinda gal, I love all the checkboxes! I have found that it makes catching up and reading just a tiny bit more, easier.

    1. Fantastic! Thanks for sharing that with us!
