b90-check-in

Welcome to the Week 2 check in post for the Bible in 90 Days with MomsToolbox!

Today is our 8th day of reading, and our 2nd weekly check in.

So… how is it going, my Bible-reading friends?
It’s been a week and, for many, this is the most challenging week of the program, as you re-organize your schedule to fit something new in every single day.
As I have said before, reading the entire Bible in 90 Days can be a really difficult thing to do, but all the work really does pay off, if you stick to it. By July 25, you will have read every single word of the Bible.. wooo-hoooo!

To those of you who aren’t quite caught up:

I’m urging you not to give up. Please think about how much time it might take you to be up to date in the reading, and then mark off that much reading time on your calendar over the next 2 or three days to get caught up. The quicker you get caught up, the better you will feel, and higher your chances for success will be.

To those of you who are on track:

Congratulations and well done! How does it feel to have read all that you have read this past week? In the comments as you check in, please share a bit about how you feel to be caught up and/or offer some encouragement to those who may be struggling. How did you fit the reading in to your schedule? When did you read? Your words may be just what another reader needs to hear.
Some part of this upcoming week’s reading to come can get a bit dull at times. Please do your best to hang in there and read every word, not skipping anything. He put every word in there for a reason so let’s take them all in together.
Congratulations to each and every one of you for sticking to it and showing up for the weekly check in today. I am proud of each and every single one of you for accepting and sticking with this challenge. You CAN do this, with Him. To check in, please let us know how you are doing by leaving a comment below this post.

This week’s resources

Download the following three sections of You Are Here in the Bible:

To prevent you from doing research where you have questions and take away from your precious reading time, Bible in 90 Days founder Ted Cooper wrote this resource to give you a bit of perspective as to what you will encounter in this week’s reading. If you have other questions, try not to research them, but just ask God to explain when the time is right and keep reading. If you must, keep a journal of all your questions to refer to once you have completed the 90 days of reading.

This week’s reading schedule:

  • Day 8 – Leviticus 1:1 – 14:32
  • Day 9 – Leviticus 14:33 – Leviticus 26:26
  • Day 10 – Leviticus 26:27 – Numbers 8:14
  • Day 11 – Numbers 8:15 – Numbers 21: 7
  • Day 12 – Numbers 21:8 – Numbers 32:19
  • Day 13 – Numbers 32:20 – Deuteronomy 7:26
  • Day 14 – Deuteronomy 8:1-Deuteronomy 23:11

Each day’s assignment will also be posted on MomsToolbox each day as well as as on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

You can also download the Bible in 90 Days reading schedule or, if you are using the official Bible in 90 Days Bible, you already have it marked in your Bible.

Make it a point to read every day no matter what, even if you don’t have a block of time, read something. Carry your Bible with you everywhere throughout the day until you get your reading finished. Plan on it taking about an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes per day.

Thanks so much for reading with me. Your reading encourages my reading… and the hundreds others, too, no doubt!

Soooo, ready to check in?

I seem to be the lone wolf that’s reading chronologically. I got a chronological Bible and have to read 4 or 5 sections daily to meet the 90 day goal, but I am on track! It’s been interesting reading it in a slightly different way. So far things have stayed fresh and reading has been a breeze.

  6. Behind, but catching up this week.

Did not sign up, but started with you and am on track. Love doing this! This is my 3rd time.

  14. While reading Levidicus I grow increasingly grateful that The Lord allowed me to live under the new covenant. I became increasingly overwhelmed by all the things they had to continually be aware of to not be unclean before The Lord. Jesus provided my way to be clean in His presence. I’m humbled, blessed, grateful!

  15. On track here! I find I stay more focused and retain more when I break up the reading! Usually it’s morning and late afternoon but some days it’s a little here and there all day! I also carry it with me when I leave the house and read every chance I get!

I am on track, got caught up from the weekend this morning. I am enjoying reading the Bible in this manner. I am using this prayerfully as an opportunity to get to know GOD — as He is — according to his historical relationship with His creation, based on His relationship and actions with His creation and on who He says He is. Leaving my emotion and personal perspective out of this, reading factually – it is very interesting how so many small but important details jump out when reading the Word this way.

Let’s keep plowing the ground ladies and let God reveal new facets of who He is to us.

I am right on track. I find that if I do my reading first thing in the morning that works the best for me. With that being said, I did not do that this past weekend and read here and there throughout the day. I felt rushed to get it done. I definitely prefer getting it read first thing in the morning. I also pray before I start reading and ask God for guidance and endurance and ask for Him to speak to me through His word as I read. That helps me as well! Everyone have a blessed week!

I’m on track. Actually a few days ahead. I schedule time first thing in the morning. I’m a youth leader, and at camp we always say “spiritual food before physical food” so I’m putting it to practice big time! :)

I’m current and learning much! As I’m reading, I constantly see how the traits of humility and obedience are so pleasing to God. Even from Adam, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; their humble and obedient hearts and actions bring blessings to their lives and households. I love Genesis 18:19 when God tells Abraham “I have chosen him, in order that he may command his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing righteousness and justice” I feel God is charging me and my husband with the same, to raise our children to obey the Lord. Such a difficult task in the midst of such a sinful culture, much like the sinful culture that Abraham was living in, but He provides and He is good and blesses those who walk with Him. Only by His grace!
