b90-check-in

Welcome to the Week 2 check in post for the Bible in 90 Days with MomsToolbox!

Today is our 8th day of reading, and our 2nd weekly check in.

So… how is it going, my Bible-reading friends?
It’s been a week and, for many, this is the most challenging week of the program, as you re-organize your schedule to fit something new in every single day.
As I have said before, reading the entire Bible in 90 Days can be a really difficult thing to do, but all the work really does pay off, if you stick to it. By July 25, you will have read every single word of the Bible.. wooo-hoooo!

To those of you who aren’t quite caught up:

I’m urging you not to give up. Please think about how much time it might take you to be up to date in the reading, and then mark off that much reading time on your calendar over the next 2 or three days to get caught up. The quicker you get caught up, the better you will feel, and higher your chances for success will be.

To those of you who are on track:

Congratulations and well done! How does it feel to have read all that you have read this past week? In the comments as you check in, please share a bit about how you feel to be caught up and/or offer some encouragement to those who may be struggling. How did you fit the reading in to your schedule? When did you read? Your words may be just what another reader needs to hear.
Some part of this upcoming week’s reading to come can get a bit dull at times. Please do your best to hang in there and read every word, not skipping anything. He put every word in there for a reason so let’s take them all in together.
Congratulations to each and every one of you for sticking to it and showing up for the weekly check in today. I am proud of each and every single one of you for accepting and sticking with this challenge. You CAN do this, with Him. To check in, please let us know how you are doing by leaving a comment below this post.

This week’s resources

Download the following three sections of You Are Here in the Bible:

To prevent you from doing research where you have questions and take away from your precious reading time, Bible in 90 Days founder Ted Cooper wrote this resource to give you a bit of perspective as to what you will encounter in this week’s reading. If you have other questions, try not to research them, but just ask God to explain when the time is right and keep reading. If you must, keep a journal of all your questions to refer to once you have completed the 90 days of reading.

This week’s reading schedule:

  • Day 8 – Leviticus 1:1 – 14:32
  • Day 9 – Leviticus 14:33 – Leviticus 26:26
  • Day 10 – Leviticus 26:27 – Numbers 8:14
  • Day 11 – Numbers 8:15 – Numbers 21: 7
  • Day 12 – Numbers 21:8 – Numbers 32:19
  • Day 13 – Numbers 32:20 – Deuteronomy 7:26
  • Day 14 – Deuteronomy 8:1-Deuteronomy 23:11

Each day’s assignment will also be posted on MomsToolbox each day as well as as on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

You can also download the Bible in 90 Days reading schedule or, if you are using the official Bible in 90 Days Bible, you already have it marked in your Bible.

Make it a point to read every day no matter what, even if you don’t have a block of time, read something. Carry your Bible with you everywhere throughout the day until you get your reading finished. Plan on it taking about an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes per day.

Thanks so much for reading with me. Your reading encourages my reading… and the hundreds others, too, no doubt!

Soooo, ready to check in?

  8. I’m behind but should be caught up by tomorrow (I hope).

I checked in on FB I think so I don’t know if I need to check in here again.

Every night I read the Bible and some from a book, to my teens. I am trying to do my reading after that.

I used a different version of the Bible when I did this 2-3 years ago. The version I am using this time has little differences so it makes it more interesting to read. Even though it is the same book of the Bible I’m learning new things this time around. It is also bringing up things that I had forgotten about.

  10. I’m on track! I read in the evenings, and the best way for me to get the reading done is to put the kids to bed and then do whatever absolutely has to be done for the night and then read. It sometimes makes for a little later when I am finally reading, but I found my mind wanders to what I have to do if I don’t get it done before.

I haven’t done today’s yet, but so far I am on track, and it does feel good. Sometimes it is such a mental game that I play with myself. Once I sit and read, I am so glad to have spent the time soaking in so much of God’s Word, and I find myself thinking about it throughout the day.

I am a day behind. Reading this weekend I was able to fit in a chapter here or there. This worked better than trying to get a whole hour of quiet to read with a 3 year old and 3 month old which put me behind.

The things you posted on Facebook the last time you read through the Bible in 90 days was what encouraged me to join this group Ashley ! Your enthusiasm & the things you said about what you learned were so inspiring ! Thanks

  34. I am still about ten chapters ahead of schedule and keeping up.

  35. I am behind but catching up tonight! Love the format.

  36. I am behind, but have 4 hours of flights today and am planning to read til I am caught up or even ahead. :) want to start out this week out right.

I am on track. I did get a little behind but was able to get caught up before today. It has been tough finding a quiet place in my house. Please pray for my frustration level with my children. I will sit down to read and it’s like they know it and it really gets to me. I really want to do this and stay caught up. I am also a Sunday School teacher so I must make time to study to teach as well. Thanks for your prayers!

  38. I’m a bit behind, but confidant I can catch up, even if it is a few extra chapters at a time.

So far so good. I read at the gym or in PT, so I can read and finish the daily by then. On the weekend, Saturday I read in the morning and Sunday was in the evening. I’m having fun with it.

I am enjoying this time very much. I am a little behind in reading, but I hope to be caught up soon!!

I had to read two days at once to catch up and found the end of Exodus with all the cubits and measurements and building instructions a tough read. But for the most part I’m enjoying it. I’m not well at the moment (in the midst of diagnosis of a chronic illness) so have decided to use my “bed days” to take up this challenge. It’s harder some days than others, but on a really bad day, reading a chapter at a time and taking a break really helps to get through it by bed time!

      Ashley

I had a hard time reading that part of a Exodus too Sarah! (about the building of the temple, ark, etc. ) I hope you get to feeling better soon!

  42. I am ONE day behind but feel confident I can catch back up. This week has been soooo fun, to say the least. I am loving reading through in such large chunks.
I’d say, for me, the most difficult part has been waking up an hour early every day, but once I’m awake, it’s totally okay. :)
I usually divide my reading up into two parts, half in the morning and the other half before bed time.

I am a couple days behind. I always seem to struggle with the weekends. :(
But I have a light schedule for the week, so I know I will be back on track in no time. :)

I am actually caught up so far. I find it is easier for me to read at night after my day is finished and I can relax and will not be interrupted.

  47. I’m on track and loving it! :)

I have a couple more chapters to read from yesterday’s reading along with today’s reading. But I don’t think that’ll be a problem to catch up on! Thank you for this! It’s great! I’m SO proud of myself for getting through Genesis, which I’ve never done!!

  49. I’m right on track! It feels great to start each day in God’s Word. I wake up a little earlier than I used to, but it’s worth going to bed a little earlier too.
