b90-check-in

Welcome to the Week 4 check in post for the Bible in 90 Days with MomsToolbox!

Today is our 22nd day of reading, and our 4th weekly check in.

I’m keeping today’s post brief because my bet is that fitting in reading time is especially difficult right now. If you have school age kids, you are probably juggling end of the year errands, parties and such and I know that is time consuming. If you aren’t juggling that, then just the reading time is hard, in itself. You have likely spent about 22 hours in the Word over these past weeks. Doing that, and keeping the rest of your schedule intact is hard– but I also hope you have found it to be incredibly worthwhile.

If you are behind, I KNOW you can catch up– even if you are more than a week behind schedule… but it will take diligence and dedication to schedule and read all that you need to read.

This week’s resources

Download the following three sections of You Are Here in the Bible:

  • 1 Samuel
  • 2 Samuel
  • 1 & 2 Kings (This has a great resource to use and keep things straight in these books. Print it out to follow along.)

To prevent you from doing research where you have questions and take away from your precious reading time, Bible in 90 Days founder Ted Cooper wrote this resource to give you a bit of perspective as to what you will encounter in this week’s reading. If you have other questions, try not to research them, but just ask God to explain when the time is right and keep reading. If you must, keep a journal of all your questions to refer to once you have completed the 90 days of reading.

This week’s reading schedule:

  • Day 22 – 1 Samuel 28:20 – 2 Samuel 12:10
  • Day 23 – 2 Samuel 12:11 – 2 Samuel 22:18
  • Day 24 – 2 Samuel 22:19 – 1 Kings 7:37
  • Day 25 – 1 Kings 7:38 – 1 Kings 16:20
  • Day 26 – 1 Kings 16:21 – 2 Kings 4:37
  • Day 27 – 2 Kings 4:38 – 2 Kings 15:26
  • Day 28 – 2 Kings 15:27 – 2 Kings 25:30

Each day’s assignment will also be posted on MomsToolbox each day as well as as on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

You can also download the Bible in 90 Days reading schedule or, if you are using the official Bible in 90 Days Bible, you already have it marked in your Bible.

Make it a point to read every day no matter what, even if you don’t have a block of time, read something. Carry your Bible with you everywhere throughout the day until you get your reading finished. Plan on it taking about an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes per day.

Thanks so much for reading with me. Your reading encourages my reading… and the hundreds others, too, no doubt!

Soooo, ready to check in? Have you given anything up to make the time to read?

Leave a comment below this post and let us know how it’s going. Did you give anything up to make the time to read? If so, what have you given up? Has it been worth it? Tell us about it in the comments…

Thanks for reading with me!

Checking in ……and I caught up, so back on track! Love it, my daughter follows you, so she reminds me of how far along I should be each day :-)

  15. I am really, really behind. Like 5 days or so. I’m going to spend most of the day reading tomorrow and the next day to catch up. I’m still going to do the best I can; we have to get back up when unexpected things come up in life. Good job and keeping pressing on to all who are caught up!

Checking in…I’m ahead. I’m actually on track to read it in 45 days (once I complete my reading tonight). I’ve given up everything to do this (unfortunately, this does not include my full-time job) and it is making all the difference in the world. The fun part is, my boys will come into my office, ask where I am in the Bible and then go find it in their Bibles. For 8 and 9 year-olds, this is HUGE!! I’m loving every minute of it.

  19. Caught up and trying to read ahead as Wednesday our first grand baby will arrive so I may be a little distracted!

  20. I caught up! I thank God! ‘Obedience is better than sacrifice’.

  21. Am trying to stay one or two days ahead just as a contingency for the unexpected. I usually start Monday right on track, as the weekends are a different routine and not as much time to read. Today I am just a few chapters into tomorrow’s teading. It’s nice knowing I have others encouraging me and for me to encourage. Hang in there!

  22. Checking in and still on track!

  23. Week 4 check in- on track and plowing forward.

I am still behind a few days but will be returning home this week so should be able to catch up by this weekend. I am enjoying reading in this format as the larger chunks of the story seem to help me understand and remember more.

I am about 2 days bahind. While I am truly enjoying this, I am finding it difficult to carve out an hour a day in its entirety so I do 15 min here and 15 min there. Thank you for all the encouragement to keep moving forward.

  45. I’m still going. I am a little ahead because schedules go nuts this week. I am LOVING this and have so much to go back and dig through. In reading it through, so many things fit together that never did before. For some reason I always thought each battle was a short one… Not campaigns that lasted years! Amazing how my eyes are opening. Thank you for doing this!
