Blast away Boredom in Houston at Moody Gardens

Check back every Monday through Thursday for ideas to have more fun all summer long.

Need more ideas? Try this one to get you set for anytime boredom sets in…

On with today’s idea…

Yes, Houstonians, you might already know about Moody Gardens, but did you know how much it really has to offer?

This summer you can explore all three pyramids of hands-on fun, take a ride in the Ridefilm Theater, splash around at Palm Beach or take a ride on the Colonel Paddlewheel Boat.

In addition to all the fantastic exhibits, you can also take in quite a collection of live entertainment, perfect for the family.

Here are a few you might consider:

The Curt Miller Magic and Comedy Show is June 18 – 21, 25 – 28, July 1 – 5, with matinee shows at 1 p.m. and evening shows at 7p.m.

Theater of Physical Comeday “AGA-BOOM” is July 16 – 19, 23 – 26 with matinee shows at 1 p.m. and evening shows at 7p.m.

Circo Comedia July 30 & 31, August 1 & 2, August 6 – 9 with matinee shows at 1 p.m. and evening shows at 7p.m.

Kevin Johnson – “Tongue-in-Cheek so to Speak” is August 13-16 with matinee shows at 1 p.m. and evening shows at 7p.m.

All these shows do have an additional fee, so be sure to check the Moody Garden’s website for ticket information and more details.

One summer we explored Palm Beach in the late afternoon then stayed in the Moody Gardens Hotel, roasted s’mores and explored the exhibits the next day. We might do it again this year and take in a show, too.
