I’ve got a dilemma on my hands and I’m hoping more than a few of you can help me out.
Basically, I need help from Bible in 90 Days grads to help facilitate the next session of Bible in 90 Days Online here on MomsToolbox.
Since last Fall, when I decided to facilitate only one session of Bible in 90 Days Online in 2012, I have felt a strong pull to host it in August… and August is right around the corner.
To be honest, this August is already crazy busy for me. And yet I still keep feeling the pull, the call to host it. But I know I can only do it with the help of a strong community of Bible in 90 Days graduates.
So I am asking each of you who has read the Bible in 90 Days with me online to help.
I need to build a team I can count on to serve as encouragers, prayers, tweeters and administrators.
Here’s what I know we need specifically:
Prayers for me in determining this session’s structure.
I’m still not sure how to set up the groups, but God knows how. I keep thinking there must be a better system than we’ve used in the past to structure it, but I don’t know what that is. Please pray for me to hear and follow his clear direction.
Mentors/ Encouragers
We need a team of encouragers who will be committed to the program and their groups throughout the entire session, August through November, even amid life’s bumps and bruises. Are you up to the task? Or can you pray that those who are, would come forward and be encouraged?
Twitter Coordinators
I would love to assemble a team of four or five who will coordinate the weekly Twitter party discussions and share responsibilities on hosting those events on Monday nights. I’d also love to put together a team that I know is checking the #B90Days twitter stream and is encouraging those who leave messages there. Do you love Twitter and the Lord? I could use your help!
Guest writers
Would you like to share your Bible in 90 Days experiences, observations from the reading or tips to getting the reading done? Or do you have any other stories you’d like to share? I’d love to get more voices represented this session than just my own. We all have our own stories as to how reading the Bible has impacted us and I’d love to share more of those.
Administrative Help
I see three places where I could use help in administration:
- Placing readers into groups
Organizing thousands of readers into groups and following up with each reader so she knows which group she is in takes a lot of effort. In the past God has brought some amazing women to help with that and I am hoping He brings the right helpers again this session. Do you love Google Docs? Are you an efficient emailer who is great at lists and following up?
- Group check in
Do you have ideas on how we can make the check in and group assignment system run more smoothly? I’d love to hear them via email.
- Formatting and scheduling guest posts
Are you familiar with Word Press? We could use some volunteer help to format stories from guest writers.
I have no doubt the readers will come as they do each session. The last three sessions literally brought thousands of readers to sign up with MomsToolbox to read. Keeping them all engaged is a challenge and I could use your help. It crushes me when I see how many drop off, so I’d love your help to keep as many encouraged and reading as possible.

I know if we all pull together we can help more readers to read through the entire Bible, some for the very first time they’ve ever opened its pages and some for what feels like the millionth time. And God will speak to every single one.
