Scripture: Haggai 1:7
This is what the Lord Almighty says: “Give careful thought to your ways.’
Observation: God wants us to think about what we do and be intentional in our actions.
Application: It is easy for me to get pulled in so many different directions by all the things that “need” to be done. Rather than be pulled by all sorts of people and institutions, I really should pray about my days and my time and allow God to set my priorities. Is what I am doing serving Him or serving the world? If I say He is first in my life, then how can my actions and use of time back that up?
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for this reminder to order my days, time and efforts in a way that honors you. Please continue to remind me to consult you in making my priority lists rather than following worldly instruction. And please forgive me for the many times I do not honor you first.
