How do you record and share your memories?

Hello there! Can you believe it is already June 1… and that June is almost over, too? Yowza!

This past year plus of Covid crazy has been such a mind-bender in terms of time. In some ways, time has flown. In other ways it has crawled, and in nearly all ways, I can’t place WHEN anything happened without some serious thought… and often a calendar check.

I’ve started back up with better, more detailed journaling, recording my stories for me and also thinking more about a blogging series I ran several years ago, Memories to Share, as well as the ebook of the same name. I don’t want my adventures to get lost. I want to be able to remember the fun– and see the ways God has shaped my life and guided me.

Thinking about MY stories (for me and perhaps my children) got me wondering…

Am I alone in this?

Do you record YOUR memories? The simple ones and the big ones, The ones with pictures and the ones without? Are other memories and stories from your family recorded anywhere? If so, how are they recorded and shared?

I LOVE flipping through the book my grandmother filled out for me. I love reading her stories about roller skating and meeting my grandfather and being one of three cheerleaders on the school squad.

My stories are different, and yet there is such a magic thread through all of them. She loved finding the fun in life and sharing it with others. I hope to do the same.

Just wondering… Do you have away that you are recording stories or reading stories that have been recorded for you? If not, why now? If so, why did you start?

I’d love to know.
